You have to fight your way through Rapture, a underwater world built in the 40's which has been overcmed by Splicers and so on, the gaeplay is a little bland in someparts while shooting a shotgun in somebodys face you dont get the impact has you would normally get in other games, though a great single player and a some great gameplay and diverse chracters it's a action/mystery/adventure game set under water.
There is no Mulitplayer but the Single Player makes up for that, it is worthbuying, a very good game

i absolutely loved bioshock, but i'm glad i only rented it, i easily finished it within the rental period. if i ever want to play it again; i'll rent it again - i'll still have spent $45 less than if i'd bought it.

If youre looking for alternatives to Halo 3 then I suggest Bioshock, The Orange Box, and Lost Planet. Theyre all fun games. I had Lost Planet before and stupid me sold it and I missed it and my brother and I really enjoyed the online component of the game (Im the only one to play single player, he never does lol) but I bought it again earlier. I went to Gamestop and picked up the standard edition to buy for 25 bucks used and they gave me the special edition for the same price, haha.
