I suppose i'll say Halo series i grew up playing it from the xbox to xbox 360. I also remember a lot of great system link memories i had back in the day.
Specific to 360, Gears of War is my favorite series. Some of my other favorite series'--Half-Life, Quake, Unreal, Doom--make minimal appearances on this console.
James Bond. Whoever grew up with an N64 (or had one) probably owned GoldenEye 64 :D (maybe The World is Not Enough also). Agent Under Fire was a blast, and Nightfire was even better. Quantum of Solace is great, too. Some say Gears of War, some say Halo 3. I say: 007 all the way8)
...that would be hard if you didn't say x360. And yeh it would be Goldeneye 64 still if you hadn't said X360. CoD is still great but its just too...basically it really hasn't done anything new. Gears of War is boring too me, but my friend said second one is decent so I will have too play that and see. Halo series brilliant but too short. Half Life great, but I wouldn't say it was the best on X360. One of them anyway...probably not Gears until I try out the second one.

Goldeneye for the n64 was probably the best shooter of all time imo.. Spent sooo many hours in the 90's playing that.. But since this is a 360 forum my vote would have to go to the gears series... followed by the Call of Duty series.. I owned a ps2 not the original xbox so i never got into the halo series
Should've made a poll, I've only had my 360 for a little over a year, less than that if you include the 3 or so months I struggled through the process of convincing them to fix it even though it was registered under my brothers name.. But I'd have to say I've spent much much more time on the Gears series than any other shooter on the 360, over a days worth of play just in ranked Gears 2 alone. Honorable mention definitely going to Rainbow Six Vegas 1-2 for opening my eyes to a genre I used to think was lame, and Call of Duty 4 for opening my eyes to the FPS genre as a whole.
