it looks awesome and it gets good reviews, but i keep hearing bad things about it off people (both in real life and in forums). is it worth getting or not?

Thats why gamespot rocks, these guys call assassin's creed a failure within a week of its release.
As for ur question u shud definitely go buy it, its a must have for x360 owners,
second post yay! anyways got assassins creed awsome gamw!!! :) however it does tend to get repetetive sometimes but thats only if your not in an imagitanive modde and/orcreative. But hey i can't talk i went through the game 70% before realising that i had the switchblade and didnt get it as an upgrade (oh well i had to then test it out on all tose damn beggars and lunatics, ahhhhhh good times :)
Overall yes it is definately worth it
It's only repetitive if you yourself keep performing the missions the exact same way, every assassination is different, every escape is different. Yes, the events leading up to it are a bit repetitive, but there's other things to do as well. Informants, civilians, killing off random guards, slappin' hos and punching drunks to the ground. It's all good fun.
Oh, and I've finished it and plan on going through again. I screwed alot of the assassinations up, can't wait to for flawless victories.
It's a fun game. IDK why it gets crap for being repetitive. I mean, how many of those evil little midget aliens to you have to kill in Halo? THAT'S repetitive.
I agree w/ the guy who said they were going to play through again to redo the assassinations.
LMAO @ myself when I went in for the kill on one mission and fell off the ledge into a crowd of angry guards. Assassination bloopers rule!!
I'm enjoying the game very much. There's really not much to dislike about it.
Yes it's a bit repetitive but then what game doesn't have some form of repetiveness to it? You can choose to play the game how you like. You can keep it repetitive by playing each mission the same or you can take your approach to it a different way. The story in my opinion isn't so bad either...It's still got me hooked on to see how it's going to end up.
The controls are not flawless but they run really smooth. The combat is my favorite part. I haven't played a game in a long time where the combat did not bore...it takesgoodtiming to counter moves and there are plenty of counter animations...if only we could lob heads off.
The game is a must play...if you can't purchase it, at least rent it.
There is plenty of replay value, I can guarantee almost anyone would want to redo all the assassinations better. I screwed up plenty but just kept going. I also didn't kill all the Templars, didn't collect nearly all the flags, didn't do all the side missions, didn't find andclimb every viewpoint, didn't take out the archers till it was too late, etc, etc. I just finished the game, and it was ugly too.
I can't wait to start again.
Seriously dude, dont ruin your gaming life. Pass and get Harry potter. NOT. Best graphics. Its like zelda has gone bad ass sort of and im not a zelda fan, but damn man the fluidness of the graphics, the idea's of the game are sick. As for repetitiveness,
I believe what is repetitive is HALO 3 multiplayer, jumping up and down like a retard for 2 hours a day aiming and hoping you hit someone. Then again I LOVE GEARS OF WAR multiplayer, i could roll till the wheels fall off.
so its up to the person.
Youll love it. QUOTE ME.Â
