I wanted to buy AC for some time now, is it truly worth the 30 bucks I'm going to shell out?

Yeah I think its worth 30 bucks, but I didn't think it was worth the 60 I paid for it...

Every game can get repetitive. It all comes down to what YOU enjoy playing. Personally, i enjoyed the hell out of assassins creed. Not much varieity in the missions, but just jumping around running from people in the game never got old, atleast for me.

Worth $30 sure. The first three assassinations are fun as hell. It's after that when it gets boring because it's bascially everything you just did and the side missions could be so much better...so much potential. Assassin's Creed 2 should be amazing though...

Bought it off Game Fly a few weeks ago for $18 pre played and free shipping, the game came in perfect condition. Think it might be out of stock right now, but they could get more in at any time.

The game was so-so, didn't really play it.

personally, i loved the game. the running and climbing was really addictive. enough so to overshadow the repitive missions. i'd say buy it, then if you don't like it you can just return it.

as in its almost the exact same routine between each assassination, pickpocket, eavesdrop, or interegate someone, all of which have almost no variation. the 9 assassinations on the other hand are each very different and challenging.

so you would say the assassinations make up for the repetition of the mission?

It is reptetive like others said but there is enough fun in it to be worth 20$. I think you said 30$ but at my local game crazy they have it used for 18$ and I think gamestop had it used for roughly that same price. So if you find it for 20$ then yes I'd say that's worth it.

I think it was worth the 60 I paid. I really love hte game to be honest. the side missions are reptitive, but the bread and butter is the assasinations, especailly if you try pulling off the perfect one, and not gettign caught. great game.

To be honest give it a rent because I found this game so boring from the very start. It's sorepetitiveand just basic, well for me anyway. I normally play shooters if anyone is wondering.

It really is a fantastic game. $60 may have been pushing it, but $30 would be a steal.

I bought it on the release date, and regretted it.

It is very fun for the first few hours, but as everyone said, gets very repetitve and frusterating.

I STILL haven't even completed it.

Want my copy? lol

its def worth it, the game does get repetitve and at times the controls can get alittle frustrating but its an awesome game. The small details in the game will amaze you and the places are fun to explore, the fights are cool theres some nice combos and kills and it bloody. its def worth it and AC2 will be even more worth it.

The game is worth a rental and thats it. I got it when it first came out and loved it. It was a little repitive but addictive. The replay value is low though. As soon as I beat it, I had no desire to ever play it again(and I haven't).To be honest none of my friends ever completed the game because it didnt live up to their expectations. So if I could go back in time and save the 60 bucks I would, I'd rather pay $7 for a rental. I'll sell you mine for 15 though if you want it that bad.
