I want to get all the achievements for this game and I know you have to find a bunch of flags so I was wondering if the strategy guide they sell in the stores is good for helping you find them or it just slaps a tag on top of a flat map and makes you figure it out. Basically...is it a well written, clear strategy guide or is it garbage like a lot of them are?

Buddy, you do not need to spend money on a strategy guide when other fellow Gamespot(ers) have written free guides for you, it just plain text, no pretty pics.

Look toward the bottom for FAQs and Walk Thrus

Yeah but I don't want to have my laptop sitting next to me the whole time constantly glancing at it. I would prefer to have a good old fashioned strategy guide.

Hey KGrimm so it is worth buying and useful? I asked because I heard somebody on Gamefaqs say it wasn't a very good strategy guide. It must be pretty popular I couldn't find a copy at Borders.

Personally, I don't think strategy guides are worth anything. If you really need the help to get through a game there are pleanty of free ones on this very website, and dozens more on other websites. And if you don't want to look at a laptop (which to me doesn't seem any harder than looking at a book) then you can simply print the pages you need.

I would advise against it, as said above walkthroughs are written all over the internet. You can even narrow down your search to just finding the flags if you wish, and print them out. Mycheats.com even shows you pictures most of the time. You'd be better off saving your money.

Thanks for the link dude. This guide is almost impossible to find. Or...not at the handful of stores I tried to get it at. Best Buy had their strategy guides on sale and none of them had it. Borders was sold out and the two Gamespots I tried didn't have it either. So I guess I will just have to save money. :(

Doesn't Gamespot have their own free guide, with everything needed?

Guides are about the most worthless 'game accessories' out there. They are a complete waste of money, no matter what game it is. All you have to do is a quick google search one what you need, and you'll get all you need without spending a penny. In rare cases, you'll get the exact guide you were about to go buy.

There are a lot of free guides over the internet that covers almost everything in the game. And there are forums. Only gamers can help fellow gamers.

Some strategy guides are filled with awesome art and stuff so if you are a big fan of the series they are worth it.

I was just going to recommend this site. It has pics that show you the locations of the flags and templars which is all you need.
