are you ready for a new console?

or can you wait? Personally I think a summer 2013 release for a new xbox would be perfect. about a year and a half from now. No doubt the 360 is coming to the end of its life cycle. i picked up a slim the other day, got it for 100 dollars after a trade in of my old console and I'm very happy with it.

I could easily spend another year and a half on this current gen. If not longer. I won't be an early adopter of the console when it first launches anyway.. unles something blows me out of the water.. like full backwards compatability... doubtful..

I am ready. I need full 1080p goodness at 60 fps with full AA and D11 and uncompressed audio. Also the Kinect 2 needs to be MUCH improved with ability to read the slightest finger and wrist movements. Without any of that, i wont be too interested in the next box.

I really think its pointless to bring out a new console in another year just to get a heads up on the competition and make us spend more of our hard earned $$/££

I wouldn't mind getting a new Xbox in 2013. I've been playing the Xbox 360 for what feels like a very long time, and would like to see what new improvements MS can make given a brand new system compared to the iterations they have been doing since release.

I'm ready, I could wait till next year though. I just want to know something about it, the anticipation is really killing me, i'll take any info, looks, specs or anything. I just want the xbox to stay true to the "roots" of gaming really. I personally wouldnt want the kinect to be a main feature in games, kinda like the wii, it was a turn off with all the motion stuff. just gimme the buttons and joysticks and lets have a good time microsoft!

As long as the Xbox doesn't go crazy with the Kinect, then I'll shell out 450-500. They also need to rival gaming PCs. Even though, I'm still waiting a year probably.

Why not? I am skipping next gen so I have no issues with a new console. I hope they do what's best for the industry as a whole, not just next gen. Make solid hardware with their solid software. Allow their first parties to get more innovative and take more risks.

- They say it's gonna come out in 2013 but i'm pretty sure they're gonna delay and it will come out sometime in 2014 which is totally fine with me. I don't mind sticking around with a 360 for for another 2-3 years.. although i feel like i'm gonna get the new xbox day one.

People who say they are tired of the graphics need to explain what game they are talking about. Please realize that some games don't use the most elite of engines, and are sacrificing graphics for gameplay and content. Gears 3 is absolutlely beautiful, while MW3 is not. Some devs are lazy or just don't care to use a better graphics engine. It wouldn't make sense, for example, to judge the 360's capabilities based on MW3.

I hope they show of the new xbox at E3 2012 and then launch it in hoildays of 2013.That best way of doing it like nintendo showing of wii u but giving little info about it at E3 2011 and then launching it in 2012.I don't think the xbox 360 just die if a new xbox come out because most people won't buy it straight away.

That essentially means MW3 is rendering twice the amount of frames at the cost of some graphical fidelity.

Not many 60FPS games on consoles look good but CoD looks okay, everything considered.

They could use a new engine though, but then again why would they? Half the fanbase wouldn't even notice and they're raking in the ollars regardless of what the game looks like.

2014 or 2015 would be good dates for me... There are still so many games I need to play

I would be willing to wait another 2 years...I'm satisfied with my 360 and PS3 right now.

Even if MS and Sony release new consoles, I hope they will continue to support the 360 and PS3 respectively.

I'll stick with 360 for now. And after the next console is released, I'll buy one after 2-3 years of release date. I'll let the price go down first before I buy one. And also, I'll wait for the new games to be released.
