Anyone else miss the CoD4 days?

I just went on and tried playing again after like quitting for 7 months. The game feels kind of... dead. :( It just made me sad. I wish MW2 never came out and the good old CoD4 days were still going just like before. Playing it were some of the best times of my life. Pulling all nighters with friends, making montages, watching all those great commentary videos on youtube from Beyon3d, Hutch, Pyro, ect. It was just so awesome.

Anyone else ever feel this way?

Also, I encourage you all to make a smart choice and follow this video.

COD4 isn't dead, I play everyday and there is always pretty much over 5000 people online during the slow part of the day, during the busier hours there are over 18000 online.

ive been playing it again recently, hardcore headquarters never fails to have people playing it. i prefer it to mw2 but nobody on my friends list plays it so its always with quiet strangers. id prefer to play it with friends. i never played it when it first came out online coz i only got xbox live this year. so im only like rank 15

I have recently gone back to playing cod4 cause i cant stand mw2 anymore. i feel like i have a little more controll over my destiny with cod4. mw2 gets way to chaotic at times. i just wish they would take out the juggernaut perk out of cod4 and replace it with the bling perk.

But yes I miss the old CoD4 days. Me and a friend revisited it the other day to relive the glory days :(

They're notnecessarily dead, it's just that people sit around and reminisce about days gone by rather than popping the disc in and playing, if your friends aren't playing, make some new ones, or invite your old ones to play, who knows, they might accept. But sitting around complaining won't help.

Not been on CoD 4 since Mw2 came out so I can't comment on the community nowadays, but I didn't like CoD4 a great deal anyway, it still suffered from poor games. Live grenades dropping at your feet after you made a kill was annoying, as was emptying a clip on some juggernaut guy.

Oh, and that video was lame; why didn't he just sell his copy, rather than smash the disk in a poor attempt to look cool?

I really miss those days. I never played the Xbox version, but I played a ton of the PC version. I've been debating rebuying it off of Steam.

Yes and no. Yes, because none of my friends play it anymore and no because all the annoying little kiddies have moved on to Modern Warcrap 2.

When I went back to CoD4 I missed the smoother controls mw2 has , but the rest I really miss CoD4 , days.The last CoD IMO , WaW as a mod for the 4th , mw2 is not cod.

I miss the times, the experience, and the people.

But now things are different, and unfortunately, change is inevitable.

I love Cod 4 it was my favorite I hated mw2 i remember the good days :)

Nah Im having fun with MW2 with my friends right now. But I do miss the M40A3.

Are you talking about the actual game, or the forum activity on gamespot? If it's the latter then no, I still remember all of the distgusting fanboys on the site during late 2007, early 2008. Always talking high and mighty about it, and when someone else shared a different opinion:? Well there would be about 20 responses to the poster who didn't agree with the fanboys.

Yes it was a great game, and I do miss early 2007- early 2008, but gamespot forums were a wreck after ithe game had realeased.
