Knowing bethesda they wont release another game this generation. if u look at the past TES games the release dates are quite spaced out.

the shooter percentage is actually 25%. Most 360 shooters are also on PS3 so I dont understand.

Maybe only the shooters get media attention, thats why its a misconception.

Yes, I am a 360 rpg fan. Got Mass Effect and soon Fable 2.

I did not like Blue Dragon. Eternal Sonata is just great (I still haven't finished it, though). I don't know if I will be getting Last Odissey, the framerate is incredibly choppy from what I've seen. I think Tales of Vesperia will be my next RPG. Mass effect, Oblivion and all the others are nice, but I just didn't like their style at all.

Honestly, none of three current-gen consoles has too many games of the genre, we'll have to wait to get some more. Although the PS3 getting more RPG attention wón't be a surprise for anyone, uh? I would love to get a REAL Final Fantasy (not FFXI) on the 360, or something from Atlus, or Nippon Icchi...

I like RPG's but it seems to me like there aren't too many. The only ones I have honestly are Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, and Blue Dragon. I guess you could call Oblivion and RPG but i don't know. I've never played a Tales of (insert word here) game but I hear great things about them. I'll probably pick up that and Fable 2.eric252

Why wouldn't you call Oblivion an RPG? Theres nothing about it thats not RPG-like. Mass Effect is less of an RPG than Oblivion.

But anyways, I'm a huge RPG fan but right now I haven't tried any of the 360's RPGs except for Blue Dragon (pretty meh) Oblivion, Mass Effect (ugh, terrible gameplay but nice story/graphics/exploration but I just don't like shooter RPGs, I liked the concept but hated the actual gameplay) and Enchanted Arms (fun at first, but got old fast.) Hopefully my friend will let me borrow Eternal Sonata and the Lost Oddysey.

Oblivion is fantastic, and Mass Effect is pretty good too. Check those out.Trickshot771

Two of my fav 360 games ATM. Oblivion is huge; not sure if I'll ever finish it.

just like evryone else out there, i think fable 2 and fallout 3 r gonna wreck faces. i got fable 2 reserved already. =p

More of them asian round based RPGs (but slow down with the random encounters plz).

Like Dragon Quest 9, Suikoden 6, Xenosaga 4! Persona 4, Final Fantasy 13, Star Ocean 4! Chrono Cross 2!

And action RPGs too! (No Circle of Doom style games plz!)

Baldurs Gate 3! Gothic 4! Diablo 3! NEVERWINTER NIGHTS 3! You name it, there is demand

I'm tired of hearing that the 360 is only a "shooter console" I like how M$ is making an effort to support mulitple genres over the years. It had a slow start but It's becoming a more all around console which is always a good thing. So far the only rpg I played was Eternal Sonata and I just bought Lost Odyssey after hearing good things about it. I'm also looking foward to some more rpg goodness when Tales of Vesperia comes out. How do you feel about 360's rpg lineup?InfinityMugen

I'm a huge fan of RPGs. I have yet to play Mass Effect, though, and am currently in the process of playing Lost Odyssey. In my opinion, the 360 doesn't excel too much in the RPG genre. Oblivion was a fantastic game, I put over 200 hours into it, and I wish they would make a new one. Eternal Sonata just wasn't my thing, though.

I don't get the same feeling for RPGs on 360 like I did the older systems. I don't even play LO that much. Actually, I play Chrono Trigger more than Odyssey. Old games for the win. I just think RPGs in general are just becoming bland.

With Square focusing on the PS3 (which I dont have) I am missing out on new Final Fantasys. FF13 doesnt look too appealing. it looks to be more of a style over substance game, but we'll see. And when I play Mass Effect I can pass judgment.

(violently scratches neck) I'm in desperate need for RPGs, the withdrawals are killing me.

I can't wait for Sacred 2 also. It's very huge and promising, i'm just a bit sceptical about its look.

I want to see more 3d isometric RPG with combat that doesnt interrupt the game too much, nice story, put some nice and dreamy graphics on top...

I'm really a fan of shooters but cant play them well with a controller. RPGs provide chilled out gameplay and are perfect for consoles. It's my favorite genre of all but RPGs with no story or bland graphics kill it for me.

First there's Oblivion if you haven't played it. Its the best one out there now on the 360. There's also Mass Effect. Both of these rock. These are the only ones I've played, and if you didn't like them, Fable 2 is coming out soon... I'm not really into Japanese RPGS but in that genre is also Lost Odyssey and Tales of Versparia (only examples).
