Am I the only one who thinks Oblivion is boring?

I mean, I can see why people would consider it a good game and all, but I personally found it pretty boring. Does anybody else think this?

you're out of your mind!!! Oblivion was a great game. Graphically, it is one of the smoothest looking games.

Gameplay: the world is huge and you can do anything!!!!

Value: I put over 80 hours into it. well worth the 60 bucks!!!!

Yeah i can see where you come from. I enjoyed the game for a while, but i just wish there were more magical weapons and armor. Or maybe some set items and different variations. But yes, i can tell where you are coming from, but i dont entirely agree with you :-)

I had fun with it for awhile too, but the story wasn't compelling enough for me to continue on it, so I got side tracked, and didn't feel like doing the main story anymore. Plus after awhile just pressing the right bumper got boring, and then after the mage guild got boring, I went to the theives guild and dark brotherhood, and after awhile those got boring too, and now I don't even feel like completing the main storyline, so I just feel like I wasted my money.

I think Oblivion is superb and very addictive once you get into it.

I do think however, that the main Questline goes on for a bit too long. Towards the end, it gets to the point where you're just doing the same thing over and over:

Crawling all to similar looking Dungeons again and again, each filled with frustatingly difficult enemies, looking for some obscure Artifact. It just gets a little tedious after a while.

I've not played it for a while because when I fast travel to the location on the Map, it's just crawling with enemies before I get inside and it just seems impossible no matter what level I am (I'm quite high up since I've done all the Guild Questlines) and I just can't be bothered with it. I'd like to think that I'll go back to it, but not for a while I don't think.

It's a superb game but it needs to know when to end!

You're not the only one, but probably one of relatively few.

Yep I agree, but in all honest im not really into the whole medieval/fantasy setting in video games, im more of a modern or sci-fi fanatic.

But it was also the little things like the frequent and lengthy loading times that spoiled the experience for me is well.

It is a one of a kind RPG I ever played in my life since World of Warcraft. I think you just didn't like the idea, it's not boring.

I think most people who found Oblivion drawn out would be fond of short, 10 hour action packed delivery's like Gears or Prince of Persia. I on the otherhand love well thought out, huge, attractive worlds. Atmospheric environments and an epic tale that spans out across 50+ hours. RPGs is one of my favourite genre.
