Has anyone here ever gotten gamed out? Like they don't feel like gaming at all unless it is with friends?

I would describe myself as a 'hardcore' gamer. Whenever I'm not at work, I am either at home listening to a gaming podcast while playing a game, or hanging out with friends playing a game. I might just be starved for quality titles right now. I really prefer campaign over MP and there haven't been many story heavy games released as of late.

Anyway, who else has had this problem?

Sure, I've been 'gamed out' before a time or 3.

Sometimes it's just good to take a few days break or try out a new gaming genre, something out of your element.

It's good to take a gameout sometimes and do something else so that when you go back to gaming, well then it's as exciting as ever!

I get "gamed out" all the time, it actually comes in spurts, ill play for a few months, then ill take a month or two off. Just remember this, too much of anything is never a good thing.

Own multiple consoles and you wont have an issue buying quality titles. Actually there are TOO many great games out right now it is far too hard to choose what to get next. As for getting bored of games it happens from time to time so just go do something else.

I'm gamed out right now. I don't feel like playing anything and when I try, I end up quiting within ten minutes. But Dead Rising 2 should fix that:D

Not really, but I have multiple avenues in regards to hobbies. So I never overload on any one of them, maybe you should look into finding different ways of spending free time that doesn't involve gaming.

I'm gamed out right now. Never in the mood for gaming unless a friend is over, or a friend makes me get on. I used to play all the time. But I'm bored of it all now.

I'm not gamed out, but I haven't had much time to game lately. When I do sit down to play I'm usually too tired to play for very long...

Sure I get "gamed out".

But I guess being married; with a baby; and a job...that's bound to happen.

Damn it sucks growing up...but at the same time, I would never trade any game for my family (well...that is...until Diablo 3 comes out).

Plenty of games. You need to own more than one platform, this I'm assuming you only own an Xbox 360. My problem is, I dont have the time!!!!

I get this all the time. I felt like this up to 3 weeks ago when I got Mass Effect 2, and now that I also got Reach I shouldn't be gamed out for awhile.

Yeah, I know how you feel. I played Halo Reach multiplayer for 2 days and was already "gamed out".

I rarely feel "gamed out" mainly due to the fact that I play in moderation, and I play a game to 100% completion before moving on to another.

i can't say i get gamed out. i usually don't have time to play the games i want. i'm so far behind i wish i had more hours in a day and days in a week. the weekend is just too short. every time i think back through my collection of games, i'm usually thinking 'oh yeah, i didn't play that one's dlc. which reminds me, i still have that dlc to get through, and another play through on that one' it never ends. and there's nothing wrong with that to me :)

yea all the time. I always have my periods sometime during a year where I just don't touch games at all for months at a time

Also I might stop playing a game for the rest of the day if a lot of BS happens to me while playing Gears 2 online

I feel gamed out once in a while. I haven't purchased/played XBL because I just don't have the time. I'll play a game for a while, and then turn it off. I just don't have the time right now especially with school and everything.

this, I'm nearly as old as dirt, and I still game all the time. right now, there are more games I want to play then time to play them. right now I've got a nasty Monster Hunter addiction that won't let me play anything else. But it's typically an online component that gets me hundreds of hours out of a single game.
