Achievements points make me choose a game over PS3

When a game comes out for both xbox 360 and ps3, I buy it for 360 making achievements points very important for my decision.

Is it just me or what????

A great move by Microsoft to include and create achievements

I don't have PS3 so there is no reason for me to choose what game I will get for a console.

But side the fact. I like achievements because it gives the game a lot of replay value. And gives more adventure to get a hard achievement.

While this is true, people will continue to factor in achievements for their decisions on 360 version or PS3 version until Sony finally gets Home out the door, and hopefully trophies will be made mandatory for all games, otherwise, the choice will continue.

(and yes, if you don't care about achievements, then you wouldn't factor it into your gaming purchases...)

Not for the trophies... but multiplatfrom is the few times when I listen to reviews. Whichever console gets the better version, I'll get that one, but the experience has been that the 360 always get a slightly better game.

Well from now on I'm getting games for PS3 (Christmas) since it seems I'm sending out my 360 every 3 weeks- 4 months (I am now going to be on my 4th one and I got my first on Christmas 06).

Plus I feel a bit nerdish because my gamerscore is high.
