Well I picked up the Xport 360 in hopes I could transfer data from my 20 GB HDD to theĀ 120GB HDD I got with the Elite earlier today.

I see the drivers get installed by Windows for the 120GB HDD. However in the Xport 360 Software, it looks like it is not reading the 120's partitions properly.

Has anyone else tried this and gotten it to work? I'm guessing it needs a new software update, but maybe it's quick hackable as well.

I have the same DAMN problem. I first transferd all the memory on my old 20gb hardrive to the xport. Then when I transfered the memory back to the 120gb it seemed fine. But when I actually hooked it up to the elite console, it didnt read the hardrive. So it screwed up the hardrive. Is there anyway I can fix this PLEASE

Anyone here know where I can download the default .bin for the 120gb and just dowmload it back to the hardrive,Ā  or where I can update a new software for the xport 360 where it can accept the 120gb

well if you haven't already; you could always try to copy all your game save data to your comp, clear your hardrive, reformat it on xbox live, and then copy the game save data back to the harddrive.

I would recommend just getting the Transfer Cable off Xbox.com.Ā  Its free and does everything right.Ā  It installs patches everything in one go.Ā  Also its the most safe for all these download and other rights you can to deal with.

You are asking the guys on SW? I suggest contacting MS or the xport mfg.

I did the same thing so if you find an answer please let me know.Ā  I am pissed about the whole not being able to get the cable for a few weeks.Ā  I called MS to mail me the kit and they told me they dont even have the cables yet to mail out.Ā  I am pissed since I just spent another $480 when I own the premium version with most of the extras including the HD-DVD player.

Ā Not to mention that I am planning on selling my 360 to someone but need to transfer all my game saves since I have tons of them, but right now the 120 gig hard drive is not being read in either of my xbox 360's

My brother also got an elite so I was wondering you think it could be possible to transfer his 120 gig file using xport to the PC and then downloading that image to my 120 gig hard drive that is not being picked up on my 360?

Ā

I've been reading information over at the Xport message boards, and currently the Xport 360 software does not properly read the partitions of the 120 GB HDD. The developers are working on a patch, but it's not available yet. Until they patch it, I don't believe it possible to write anything to the 120GB without messing the HD up. Also, I believe this includes pushing a 120 GB image down to the drive. In your case since it is already messed up, I dont see theĀ harm in trying though.

I dont get it. Yall are posted sometime in 2007. Here http://youtube.com/watch?v=9XQ6g_gy7Ks the guy says this update will fix the 120GB problems. The video is from May or something in 2007, and the guy says the update is called 1.04.

On codejunkies.com I found the Xport 360 update. The update is called 1.04 as well, and it says that it was released some time in 2006.

So what's up? Is there an update out that is compatible with the 120GB?

And while we're at it, I need to only transfer my save files from my old HDD (a complete image transfer will brick). Does anyone know where I can find just the game save files on the old 20GB HDD via Xport?
