360 Internet Explore

in the next update, i think they should make internet explore in the 360, so we can browse website. it would be awesome, watch video online on youtube.

i know you can do that on the ps3

Honestly, what the hell is it with people and wanting browsers on their consoles? I'd rather sit here at my Mac Book Pro, or Dell laptop and browse the internet with all plugins working being able to view everything instead of sitting at my console typing stuff in with a controller, waiting for pages to load and hoping that flash works let alone everything else. With browsers you can fix connection issues, download user content, get themes and icons, and of course get things like music, video and much more. teebeenz

That right there to me is the reason why M$ won't put up a browser. You could get all the stuff they charge you for on marketplace for free on other websites.

I will never browse on IE explorer ever again. Thank You FireFox.

I think it will be safer to just browse using the PC. There's a lot of sneaky, crappy stuff on the web and you'll never know what will happen on your 360 if someones discovers a way to distribute viruses via console browser...

Just an opinion, though.

The Wii, the PS3, and even the PSP. Doesn't matter how fast they are or how good the point is the 360 is the only thing these days without it. And come one seriously if the PSP can have one the Microsoft Xbox 360 should have some form of Internet Explorer.

Dude, u forgot something, EVEN A DS can use an internet browser. a freaking DS man. also i think we should send emial to M$, to consider this, and it even raise 360 sale and win the console war.

Since Microsoft makes IE, I think it would be very easy for them to program it to work with the 360. I'd be willing to buy it off of Marketplace if it ever comes out.Axxe428

It'd be a somewhat nice feature but I can not see myself using it much. I can not see anyone using it much.

Anyone who has an internet connection probably has a computer, Microsoft realizes this, so I doubt they'd put the effort.

This seems to be a common opinion.. Out of curiosity, why wouldn't you want the 360 to have IE? Just because 'that's what a computer before' does not mean it would hurt for the 360 to have it?

I'm not saying it's needed, but I don't get why people would actively not want it. IE on an large TV could be entertaining, and opens up technical things that could be done, such as made for 360 websites which would allow you to interact. For example, a flash-games type website, made for people to play games on, but with the 360.
