Other people are having freezing problems when playing Halo or Gears, but mine freezes when it signs on to my main Xbox Live account. Can anyone tell me whats going on with this? It plays just fine without Live, or without the network cable in. Hell, it even stays on live on my other account for a little bit (before, of course, freezing on Halo 3)
Glad I'm not the only one with THAT problem. This is getting annoying. Good thing I downloaded Fable 1 the other day. I lost my disk and haven't played the original in awhile. I'll be able to play that and wait this crap out.
I've been trying to get the VidMaster achievements (I need Lieutenant now, but I can't because the exp isn't working)
And before anyone asks "why do you get achievements noob!" it's because I've done the VidMaster Challange in the Marathon games way back, and want to do Halo's VidMaster challange.
Found a fix for it, guys. This occurs when you were downloading something. Unplug your ethernet cable while the 360 is off, and then go to your memory and look for the "unknown" item (Has a yellow triangle with a "!" in it) Delete it, and then turn the system off, put the cable in, turn the system on, and there ya go.

I knew it had something to do with that, I just couldn't figure out how to delete it fro mactive downloads without freezing. I'll try this out, thanks :D
I have the same problem, and it's pissing me the **** off, sorry for the language, but when I don't have my network cable plugged in(no access to Xbox Live), my 360 works fine.

i've been going around the forums and there are just so many threads about thei Xbox live inssue. Suprisingly, these problems dont' happen to me that often. i just want microsoft to hurry up and give us the update. just be patience guys. eventually things will get better.

I also found this fix earlier on when I received the problem, Nny3 is correct, anyone with this issue should do as his post instructed.
