So I turned on my X-Box 360 just now, and I got this error message telling me to call customer service. There's a big "E 68" at the bottom of the screen, which I'm assuming means that it's error message #68, or something like that.

Anyway, I rebooted a few times and blew on the disc, but I am still getting the error message. Does anyone know what this means?

No, I absolutely HATE dealing with customer service. I figured I'd try fixing the problem by getting help on the internet. And if that fails, I'll probably give my Xbox 360 to some poor kids, or something.

E68: Hard Drive Error... It could be a problem with the Hard Drive itself or a problem with the internal connection to the hard drive, Try removing the hard drive and playing without it, This can also be caused by a Hard Drive Eprom Error. Some also believe this might be caused by a problem with the fans. See http://forums.xbox-scene.com/lofiversion/index.php/t560439.html

If you don't want to go through unethical ways of fixing your 360 like some of the forum says, I believe Microsoft will charge fifty to fix the problem. Or you can try wrapping your system in a towel and let it fry itself... then they may do it for free. XD

I've never encountered the error myself. I don't personally know anyone that has. I can also say that I haven't had any errors with my system. i had a game freeze on me but I keep a fan blowing on my system when i am playing games, i also have it in a well ventelated area. I only play for about 3 - 6 hours at a time. usually no more then 4. I haven't had to call microsoft but if I have a problem and I can't figure it out I would call them. But I have never had problems with any of my systems. Hell my original Nintendo and Atari still work and are in mint condition.
