I believe that it will be Halo 3. The campaign was good( I hope they make another one, because the ending left questions unanswered), but lets be honest, the multiplayer online can't be touched. Which game do you think will win game of the year.

Call of Duty 4 I believe will be unbelievable, no question. I think Call of Duty will not get it due to the fact it comes out to close to the end of the year. Bioshock is good, but not game of the year material.

unanswered as in the war ending? They cant make another game based on how it turned out for Cheif and Cortana. Also TF2 is really awesome too but they or somewhat different. And also Bioshock GETS GoTY

I'd love to see Bioshock or Call of Duty 4 get it, but Halo 3 probelly will because of all the hype and people who play it.

I'll let you know when the year is up! I looking at Mass Effect although until I've played it I cannot say. Regardless Halo 3 will probably win given it's popularity and yes, the online, cannot be touched. RIP Gears of War eh?

Althought I don't think it will be the true best game, it is hard to argue against the amazing sales of Halo 3. That alone will get it the honors of game of the year.

Halo isn't going to get it.  It either going to be BioShock / Super Mario Galaxy  or Mass Effect.

So far BioShock, next month could change that though, if CoD4 is as good as I hope, or perhaps Mass Effect. No way in hell for Halo though.

i would say halo3 could possibly only win by popular vote of fanboys. i dont think it will walk away with game of 07.

it all depends on when games come out, if UT3 can get out in december, thats a good competitor for GOTY....other than that assassins creed, bioshock, mass effect, and even uncharted all stand a good chance imo.

Mass Effect most definetly. It doesnt compare to the many FPS out on the X360.

well out of the games thats been out, id say bioshock, it just had everything, great story, amazing gameplay, graphics, sound, and still managed to make a really long game into a fun one, the second i beat it i wanted to do it all again to see the other ending

Halo 3 isnt anywhere near as good as the hype, ppl just love it to play online, take the online away and Halo pretty much sucks... it becomes an average FPS at best, and GOTY shouldnt be based on how good or fun a game is online, it should be based on how fun or good a game is, period..

the only other 2 that can compete with bioshock will be Mass effect and CoD 4, both im sure will be awsome but will they be even better? i hope so, either way both are must haves, anyway once those 2 are out and ive played both, ill give my final opinion XD

I don't see why people go so crazy over H3's multiplayer, I mean, a lot of it depends on who has the better gun/s and who sees the enemy first. If there is someone behind you and he starts shooting while you're both out in the open, you're as good as dead.

It'll be between Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Mass Effect, and Assassin's Creed. It could be Orange Box but probably not because it has a lot of old content and TF2 is a weak link. Who knows, Rock Band might get it.
