It's worthy of its own topic before anyone asks.
Now, I just refuse to accept that WWE Creative have literally gone bonkers in this scenario. There’s a damn catch and I know it.
Ever since the matter of “God” got involved in the storyline between Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon, I’ve had an awkward feeling about it. We’ve seem teased signs down to electronics and technology but tomorrow night, at Backlash, I think there will be no mind games and that someone will indeed come out and help Shawn on his behalf.
Please don’t think I am the one who’s gone nuts but I think the “chosen one” will either be Triple H or John Cena, assuming that the tag match between the McMahons vs. Shawn Michaels and God is booked last that is.
Setting the picture – assume Edge or Triple H wins the WWE Title…Cena loses.
Triple H
It all fits together like a puzzle.
He is labelled the “King of Kings” and I am sure the tag is more than just a slogan to show that he is the best in the business.
We’ve seen numerous teases of D-X re-uniting and it could be the night they do. Sure, at WrestleMania 22, we would have thought it was a one-off, but week after week, RAW after RAW, the taunts were made and the rumours began.
Futhermore, McMahon and Hunter crossed paths a couple of weeks ago on RAW and the both of them ended the note in bad terms. Since sources have been speculating a face turn, I feel we could very well see HHH save Shawn and turn on the McMahons.
Whether or not Hunter has the title or not, it would highlight Hunter’s face turn and D-X reforming and rebelling as they did back then.
John Cena
Now this is something I’d really like to happen.
So Cena doesn’t retain and he’s not finished with the show. As Michaels is on the verge of losing to both McMahons, Cena walks to the ring (hidden dressed in white). Michaels makes the tag but fails to understand why the figure is not responding. Little did he, nor the crowd or audience watching at home, realise that the figure would turn on him with a beat-down and side with the McMahons.
The finish can end with Vince pinning Shawn, a DQ, or a simple no-contest. What would be clear by the end of the night would be an official Cena heel turn, revealed in all his identity.
Cena’s reason? Well it could be a number of things really. Maybe he wants to attack a fan-favourite superstar to get back at them or something. Or maybe siding with McMahon would just be an easy way in getting his title back.
Well, hopefully you don’t think I’ve gone loopy and that something indeed will twist around at Backlash involving God and HBK vs. Vince and Shane McMahon.
If you have any theories involving the angle, please feel free to share them and discuss the approach on the whole.
