To be honest I blame him losing the mask. He was put in some ridiculous storylines and scenes which made the downfall of Kane even worse. Katie Vick was one script that will never be forgotten. It was with his mask though but we did see the monster in him unleash on weeks to follow. Since then he burned good ol' JR, got married to Lita, got her pregnant and then "lost" the baby...

I can go on and on but reading that is just a tint of what he has gone up to.

Maybe if we were back in the attitude era he would be the same as back then but since it is all about entertainment well I guess we'll see similar storylines like he has been in these past few years.

I agree with you there the attitude has up and left the building and I mean left the building. What happened to just running your mouth and backing it up in the ring? God I miss those days.

From his debut to now I have tried to piece together what is going on with him and I'm totally confused first he becomes a fan favorite after Wrestlemania XVI and soon I lost track of him as if he went back stage and disappeared. Now I have caught a few shows on TV with him and he isn't the same. What the hell happened to him?wcfs25

Don't try it, the continuity errors will make your head explode. Its best to just sit back and accept the fact that he's going nowhere fast.

I disagree entirely. Kane losing the mask was almost the best thing that happened to him. Right around the time he lost the mask he was a joke and a shell of the 1998 Kane. He was paired up with the equally directionless RVD and just wandering around the realm of popular, but "didn't grab the ball" according to Triple H. When Kane lost the mask, it opened the door and allowed him to become a monster again. He went from directionless partner of RVD to being the psycotic monster in one week. People became wrapped up in the drama, wanting to see where Kane's path of destruction would lead.

However, that all came to an abrupt end at Wrestlemania XX. The long awaited revival of the feud between the Undertaker and Kane. Kane's momentum hit a glass cieling, brick wall and a freight train called the Undertaker. Taker made Kane look like a tool in the match and in the weeks leading up to it, and that was it. Kane was done, there was no reason to fear Kane anymore. He got a World Title shot or two, but those didn't even warrant the main event of a PPV (not when Triple H and HBK want to wrestle), he had finally been brought back down to being directionless. So when one of the creative geniuses suggested, "Hey, lets have Kane want to have a child with one of the Divas," no one said, "that's stupid and it would totally kill one of our top guys." Instead, they were like "Well, we've got nothing else for him. We could even do an evil wedding People love our wedding episodes... Yeah, its genius!"

I agree, The Undertaker ruined whatever was left of Kane being a monster. However, if I recall his amtch with Chris Benoit, Kane was actually a very good wrestler, if only he stayed that way.
