On July 10th, a 19-year-old German teen, Steffen G., consumed 1 bottle of beer, 2 bottles of wine, and 1 bottle of chocolate liqueur then proceeded to murder a homeless man. Steffen G. now blames WWE’s “SmackDown vs. Raw 2006” video game (which is rated “T” for teens) as the reason for his actions. A WWE spokesman stated “Given Steffen G.’s history of violence and alcohol abuse, we believe his claims to be absurd.”

How did the guy kill the homeless man? I think thats what says it all really. If he hit him with a folding chair and then did something from the game, I can somewhat see it having a small effect. Otherwise according to these ideas about games I can say all my musical talent on the saxophone was from playing Guitar Hero, despite me learning the sax years before the game came out.

wow, I bet that they star doing what they did in Indonesia and protest. But if they actually read the article they'll laugh at the dude. Doesn't matter if he killed him with a wrestling move or not, he was drunk as h*ll.

Nah, he'd run out of stamina thanks to his alcohol level. Plus the homeless guy would counter and then hit him with a trash can, then follow up with a massive low blow followed by a Shooting Star Press to put him away.

Pfff....they tried this with GTA, it didn't work. Games don't encourage bad behavior. It's like one of the nerds says in the game "Bully", he says "They say games influence you to do stuff, but I have yet to turn into a mustached plumber."
