Planetary Disease
The world is at peace. The settlements are thriving, humans are multiplying quickly, and there are sufficient resources to last a long time.
But suddenly there is a massive earthquake, and the continent on which you live on is wrecked. Natural disasters occur one after another, be it typhoons, tsunamis, earthquakes or volcanic eruptions.
Through some research with an intelligent magician, you find out that the source of all this unrest is a spot in the middle of the planet's crust, where a disease seems to have struck the planet. The germs must be removed from the planet so as to cure it, and to save the people of these calamities. This spot is accessible through a large crack that has appeared in the middle of your continent – which has, incidentally, separated you from your family and your comrades.
New to this side of the continent, you search for people who will join you on your quest to cure the planet of this abominable disease. Gradually, you manage to create a group who is willing to fight for the peace of the world.

Hope that sounds feasible!
