Updating GoW:A (after all these years). JurassicRabbit of IGN did some lame retrospective with GoW proper (leading up to Nu-GoW) like so many others, but I felt like giving this one a go (didn't know GoW:A too well, so I had to force myself to derust on old notes, comments, etc.). Oni learning GoW1 saw me do some hands-on, then a topic about sub-weapons (which come up from time to time) saw a guy claim Artemis (despite being hugely flawed and incomplete) would dominate even over other weapons in any given entry, so I wanted to do a thought experiment with 'run coverage'. Along the way, I had to test things I was unclear with (as with some cancels, inputs, etc. for CoO).
Upon reaching GoW:A, it bothered me I didn't have a good feel for things, so I started up a a NG+ VH run (NER, technically) to feel things out (not overburdening myself with testing/retesting MAX stuff just yet as that is on another save file). Upon reaching where I left off, I began making the run skeleton (something I could have done just by watching other people play, now that I think about it). Apologies to SBK in particular for not having done so prior to the PAIN+ coverage (which I'll be evaluating soon after I do my own run *to see what we each came up with though I shared my findings openly and have learned from others myself*).
