I preordered Diablo III practically a year and a half ago. Is it seriously, seriously coming out on May 15th? 'Cause I have graduation practice on that day, but I'll find a way to get and play it if they're for real this time!

I beg to differ! My mom started growing facial hair after she had my brother. She's literally gotta shave it now and then. As for myself, I think I've got some fur if that counts at all.

Forgive me, I've been having a terrible week. Google would make it that much worse, but no, I haven't been near the place. :P I just didn't feel any of the conversations going on warranted my input. Yes. I may have blown off prom for Okami, but I'm going to song practice and graduation like the good little model student doggie I am. Not just 'cause mommy would have a fit if I didn't go, but just to participate so I can know for sure that I am officially out of here. Plus, immediately after graduation they're taking us out to three surprise places and we're staying out all night at wherever they take us. Years past have gone on all night cruises, rented out malls, and one probably rented out some attraction. It's going to be quite the party, so I'd like to participate in that as well.

Without a release date I don't even consider pre-ordering. Hell I only really pre-order a few weeks before, if at all.

I have a question. Say if I were to get a PS3 and/or Xbox360 sooner than anticipated. Would there be a problem sharing it? Because I don't know how the whole thing with making an account ties in with the consoles. I've heard horror stories here and there about younger siblings using consoles and something going wrong, but I can't recall any of them enough to remember what the exact problems were.RoseFlambe169

Shouldn't be. Far less of a problem with sharing any of the last gen consoles. You can always make it so it doesn't remember your password on your account, but that just means they can't mess around with your online stuff but could still mess with your saves etc. But once it is segmentalised off, the person would have to intend to mess around with your console to mess around with it.

Basically you make user accounts on the console, and your saves live on your harddrive but can only be accessed from your user. If you install a game its accessible via all people, but your saves can only be accessed by you. And yeah if you lose the console you lose your saves, but let's be honest, that is unlikely, also same applies if you lose a memory card. Also cahnces are if the console breaks the harddrive will still be salvagable, and you can buy cables that transfer data or just re-use the old harddrive.

So how is it segmentalised? Well you create a user on the PS3, like a user on a computer, and then you can tie a PSN username to it. So you can have a user without having an online account, but you can only link one online account to any PS3 profile.

Okay, that's simple enough. Well, I'm not planning on losing a PS3. :P I was thinking more along the lines of, on the off chance I get a PS3 in college instead of after, I'm going to have roommates. Since my roommates are going to be chosen according to major, I might end up with people like me who don't have a PS3 yet. If we were all to use it, someone would have to take it in the end. From what I hear, it just doesn't seem practical to share a PS3 with people you're not going to live with all of the time.

Bah, it's so expensive though. >.> I haven't spent that much since (excluding presents) since I got my PSP I think. I felt terrible when I got my PSP and DSi though. I mean, I don't feel terrible about it now, but I feel terrible after I buy expensive things for myself.

I prefer the PS3 to the 360, but it is not 'so' much better. The 360 is a fantastic console which is superior to the PS3 in some key ways.stephenage

360 online is paid for yes, but it's a far better service which doesn't cost much. Gamer points are way better than trophies (apart from platinum trophies), a single trophy is next to meaningless really. 

Most importantly though, multiplatform games are usually a lot better on the 360, and most games are multiplatform.

That's the only reason I prefer the PS3, it's exclusives suit my weird tastes better. Though the 360 has some fantastic exclusives also.

Well that isn't true actually, if you are a fighting game purist that for some reasons doesn't own a fight stick (so not really a purist) then PS3 by miles. However if you own a fightstick, 360 is probably preferable due to a more active online community and better online infrastructure.

Well that isn't true , if you are a fighting that for some doesn't own a stick (so not really a purist) then PS3 by miles. However if you own a 360 is due to more active online better infrastructure.
