This week's Top 25 rankings:

1. Ohio St. vs. Minnesota
2. Michigan vs. Northwestern
3. USC @ Oregon St.
4. W. Virginia - BYE
5. Texas @ Texas Tech
6. Louisville - BYE
7. Auburn @ Mississippi
8. Tennessee @ S. Carolina
9. Florida vs. Georgia
10. Clemson @ Virginia Tech
11. Notre Dame @ Navy
12. Cal - BYE
13. Arkansas vs. Louisian-Monroe
14. LSU - BYE
15. Boise St. - BYE
16. Rutgers vs. UConn
17. Wisconsin vs. Illinois
18. Boston College vs. Buffalo
19. Oklahoma @ 23 Missouri
20. Nebraska @ Oklahoma St.
21. Georgia Tech vs. Miami
22. Texas A&M @ Baylor
23. Missouri vs. 19 Oklahoma
24. Wake Forest @ N. Carolina
25. Oregon vs. Portland St.

Not the greatest week for Top 25 football. Only one game pits to ranked teams against one another. I didn't think it could be worse than last week, which only had to such games. We've got 5 ranked teams without a game this week (the most so far this year), and many more games that might as well be BYE's. I don't even have any "Games to Look Out For" or a "Game of the Week" picked out yet.

I wouldn't be too surprised with a Mizzou win over OU, especially now that they don't have AP in the lineup right now.

Im a bit nervous for the game at Texas Tech. Last 2 games in Lubbock have come down to the wire, including in Chris Simms last year.

yeah but chris simms wasnt that great. maybe he was an ok QB but i would take major applewhite over him. i still like texas against texas tech. too much defense and just enough offense for texas to win. tech doesnt look so great this year though.

I have no nerves at at all for the Wisconsin Badgers who play against Illinois next weekend.

Like mentioned earlier, expect P.J. Hill to have a possible 200 yard game against the Big Ten's second worst defense.

I really hope we can find a way to upset Tennessee. If we somehow win we'll be 6-2 and Im sure we'll end up in next weeks Top 25.

I know Tech isnt that good but its a big time rivalry game and I know Tech is gonna play their hearts out. Its never an easy game to go up in Lubbock in that turf where there offense plays best.

If Ainge plays like he did against Alabama, I think South Carolina will take it.

The scores from all of the Top 25 teams' games:

1. Ohio St. vs. Minnesota W 44-0
2. Michigan vs. Northwestern W 17-3
3. USC @ Oregon St. L 33-31
4. W. Virginia - BYE
5. Texas @ Texas Tech W 35-31
6. Louisville - BYE
7. Auburn @ Mississippi W 23-17
8. Tennessee @ S. Carolina W 31-24
9. Florida vs. Georgia W 21-14
10. Clemson @ Virginia Tech L 24-7
11. Notre Dame @ Navy W 38-14
12. Cal - BYE
13. Arkansas vs. Louisian-Monroe W 44-10
14. LSU - BYE
15. Boise St. - BYE
16. Rutgers vs. UConn W 24-13
17. Wisconsin vs. Illinois W 30-24
18. Boston College vs. Buffalo W 41-0
19. Oklahoma @ 23 Missouri W 26-10
20. Nebraska @ Oklahoma St. L 41-29
21. Georgia Tech vs. Miami W 30-23
22. Texas A&M @ Baylor W 31-21
23. Missouri vs. 19 Oklahoma L 26-10
24. Wake Forest @ N. Carolina W 24-17
25. Oregon vs. Portland St. W 55-12

There were quite a few close ones this week. Auburn, Florida, and Tennessee all beat their opponents by only 1 TD, and all of which should have (at least on paper) handled their teams pretty easily. Texas has a comeback win against a seemingly inconsistent Texas Tech team, what could this mean for the Longhorns? Wisconsin struggles with Illinois, does this mean that the Badgers might not be as good as we thought, or is it that Illinois is really becoming a good football team? Wake Forest beat a terrible N. Carolina team by only 7, let's hope they were only looking ahead to their game next weekend against 18th ranked Boston College, or else this game might not be that close for very long.

That's what you thought, I knew those games would be close, except for the Auburn one.

I had a feeling those games might be close, I'm just saying that looking at it from afar, you would think those games would have been near blowouts.

I told you the Tech game was gonna be close, it doesnt matter if the talent level has a big gap. Playing in Lubbock is always hard.
