Are these teams all such losers that they can NEVER get into a Bowl Contest? Do they play in 1-AA, and if not , shouldn't they, for some post season meia coverage? stitch321
I think that they are 1-AA (or the new name for that division). I just looked on the ESPN scoreboard page and clicked "All Div 1-AA" scores and it shows all the Ivy league scores. I am guessing that these schools really don't care too much about their media coverage for their football programs. They get all the attention they want from academics and from other non-mainstream sports (rowing, lacrosse, ...) :)
They are known 10 times more for their academics than their sports. Mainly because it's a bunch of super smart nerds on the team. The "dumbest", if that's what you want to call it, player probably can recite pi to its 1000th digit.
Note: My post was full of conceptions that probably aren't true so don't blast me for making stupid misconceptions, please.
Stitch, the reason the Ivy League does not compete in the FCS playoff system is due to the fact that they decline to compete in it. And no, I didn't make that up.spfx30
Not that surprising. Example: For Harvard and Yale, beating the other is bigger than anything else they'd do, including playoffs .
