The first NES game, ALttP nad all the gameboy games have used the same c.l.a.s.s.i.c 2D-conscept (Not completely 2D, but you can't change the camera angle and you can only shoot arrows in four different directions) while the N64-games, GC-games and TP have had a 3D-conscept. My question to you is which one you like the better?

PS: I hope this'll be a hot topic.

I love both a lot, but I prefer the 2D Zeldas, simply because my first Zelda was 2D.

I would say I equally like both. Both have very good gameplay in them, and thats what matters.

There is no "better" concept. Both 2D and 3D Zeldas have proven themselves.

But Zelda Wii is supposed to be a whole 'nother animal...

Both are great because of story, concept, and Nintendo's quest to keep it fresh

I personally prefer the 3D perspective for Zelda games as it feels a great deal more involving and immersive. There is nothing wrong with the 2D perspective and it is superior to 3D in terms of puzzles, or at least the puzzles seemed superior in the 2D Zelda games when compared to the puzzles featured in the 3d Zelda games.

I've grown accustomed to the 3D view. But I'm not sure if you can really compare the two. Both are quite amazing.

Ãœberbump eh?

Anyways, I slightly prefer the 3d games, although Link to the Past was my favourite Zelda game of them all. It's just that no other top-down views seemed to live up to it's level.

If you asked me this when I was playing Majoras Mask, I'd say 3D, but I've been playing the Oracle games now, so I'm saying 2D for now.

btw i love how you spelled concept, it makes me feel smart. the 2d format is my favorite for 2 reasons, there is less of the in game cutscenes, and the puzzles and dungeons are a lot more complex
