Squre-Enix is doing very terrible. actually, kisuke, they have done terrible mistakes. They have completely ignored their customer base, and because of it, they have lost their thunder. It used to be that their new releases were big hits just like any other major title...but now, take a look at FFXIII. It was a big hit for all of...what...a week? Maybe 2? Most games like that now days are big hits for at least a month, maybe two, at minimum.
Â
Not a good sign.
Then add to that, the fact that, you dont see many square-enix games anymore...they are slowing down...which is usually a bad sign.
ANd I'v heard they are facing collapse...which doesnt surprise me, given the previously stated facts. O_o
Â
Now, I dont know if this blunder compares to capcom; I'm not exactly informed of which blunders you speak.
Though I got the impression the merger was somewhat one sided, since the 'square' side seems to have been the more prevalent, after all you don't see them working on the Star Ocean series at the rate they do with FF
And incidentally, I think most of the big company need to go back to school, they've become bloated and ignorant off their own greed, of course you can't entirely blame them, they're just supplying a demand, a demand for the same thing over and over and over and over and over again, which sadly leaves game enthusiasts feeling a bit left out and disappointed
[QUOTE="Nightmare-_-"]I could get 100% in mvc3 but mission mode ruin it! it just.. bull...sfkm2

I'm pretty good with dog :P anyways mission mode. I just cant pull off a move like sf4..

Yep. The problem about it is.... I can not get the other characters I use up there. They are like around 1500-2600 BP. I guess I use Vega alot. :P
I actually thought FFX was fairly plot driven, and a bit better than the corridor slogging that is FF13 (don't get me wrong, I do enjoy FF13 and it's plot is interesting, but it's not by far the best imo, and not the most plot driven).
Incidentally, I've completed all the episodes of Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse, and wondering what to focus on next... either FF9 or Sly Cooper :P
Just what, exactly, kinda games have yo utwo played though? Because that story went by way too fast. Too much was done too quickly...thus, I feel it was rushed. it wasnt even like it was a fast paced thing, its just that the story progressed so far with so little actually getting done to do it...to me it felt like it was practically ran on fast forward. O_o
Â
Though, I'm more used to the older final fantasies that took their time to make the story more epic.
Well, seker, you just proved my point. XD
The story was overly simplistic. There were a few twists, and a few more things happened than that. But the story had so, so much potential, and yet used so little of it. So much could have been done with it, but wasnt. Instead, the story blew through quickly.
FF 12 got a lot of hate, which is a bit unjustified in my opnion.
Sure, the "main" character was whiny and useless to the plot, but the story was good and the gameplay was fun and innovative. Plus the game had an open world, the thing fans have been asking for after X's linear world put them off.
Well I thought, once you gathered everyone, that 12 sorta did what 6 did and gave everyone ample development, which arguably makes them all the main characters, not just Vaan (plus I'm a Balthier fan :P). But yeah, story and gameplay wise I loved FF12.
Oh, and gaming wise, I completed all the Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse episodes and Sly Cooper, on the final level of Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee and Started up Sly 2 :P
Balthier is the leading man. He says so himself, so it must be true. :P
The funny thing about 12 was...I enjoyed the hunts (aka. quests) more than I enjoyed going through the actual plot. They just provided better challenge, but most importantly, you get to meet the large ham that is Gilgamesh!
