Hmmmm Idk. Square-Enix hasn't did anything major bad like Capcom. However, if they have to, they need to go now.

Squre-Enix is doing very terrible. actually, kisuke, they have done terrible mistakes. They have completely ignored their customer base, and because of it, they have lost their thunder. It used to be that their new releases were big hits just like any other major title...but now, take a look at FFXIII. It was a big hit for all of...what...a week? Maybe 2? Most games like that now days are big hits for at least a month, maybe two, at minimum.

Not a good sign.

Then add to that, the fact that, you dont see many square-enix games anymore...they are slowing down...which is usually a bad sign.

ANd I'v heard they are facing collapse...which doesnt surprise me, given the previously stated facts. O_o

Now, I dont know if this blunder compares to capcom; I'm not exactly informed of which blunders you speak.

yeah they lost all hype after X, 12 was really good, 13 is decent but predictable. It was better when they were square soft,

I got a question. I stop paying attention to that company for awhile. Why did they change the name again?

Though I got the impression the merger was somewhat one sided, since the 'square' side seems to have been the more prevalent, after all you don't see them working on the Star Ocean series at the rate they do with FF

And incidentally, I think most of the big company need to go back to school, they've become bloated and ignorant off their own greed, of course you can't entirely blame them, they're just supplying a demand, a demand for the same thing over and over and over and over and over again, which sadly leaves game enthusiasts feeling a bit left out and disappointed

Actually no, thats actually the problem. They are destroying the meaning of FF by ignoring their fanbase entirely and changing the series away from its heavy plot focus it used to have. Take FFX. That game was 90% gameplay. Not story. Which kinda annoyed me.

I actually thought FFX was fairly plot driven, and a bit better than the corridor slogging that is FF13 (don't get me wrong, I do enjoy FF13 and it's plot is interesting, but it's not by far the best imo, and not the most plot driven).

Incidentally, I've completed all the episodes of Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse, and wondering what to focus on next... either FF9 or Sly Cooper :P

The issue with FFX is that while yes its story had a lot of potential...the entire thing feels very rushed.

I personally didn't feel it was rushed, my main issue was some of the gameplay mechanics, but that's just my opinion on it

Just what, exactly, kinda games have yo utwo played though? Because that story went by way too fast. Too much was done too quickly...thus, I feel it was rushed. it wasnt even like it was a fast paced thing, its just that the story progressed so far with so little actually getting done to do it...to me it felt like it was practically ran on fast forward. O_o

Though, I'm more used to the older final fantasies that took their time to make the story more epic.

the only thing about FFX was the fighting was a little to linear and easy if your a stratagist. the story wasnt rushed at all, the main story was Yuna completing her pilgramage traveling to each temple, that got done

Well, seker, you just proved my point. XD

The story was overly simplistic. There were a few twists, and a few more things happened than that. But the story had so, so much potential, and yet used so little of it. So much could have been done with it, but wasnt. Instead, the story blew through quickly.

FF 7 is pretty good, fighting in FF 13 is good but story is boring... seems like they took alot from the hindu tradition

FF 12 got a lot of hate, which is a bit unjustified in my opnion.

Sure, the "main" character was whiny and useless to the plot, but the story was good and the gameplay was fun and innovative. Plus the game had an open world, the thing fans have been asking for after X's linear world put them off.

Which is why I never used Vann when other characters were optional. Always use Ashe or Balthier or Fran.

SF X Tekken looks epic.

Well I thought, once you gathered everyone, that 12 sorta did what 6 did and gave everyone ample development, which arguably makes them all the main characters, not just Vaan (plus I'm a Balthier fan :P). But yeah, story and gameplay wise I loved FF12.

Oh, and gaming wise, I completed all the Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse episodes and Sly Cooper, on the final level of Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee and Started up Sly 2 :P

Balthier is the leading man. He says so himself, so it must be true. :P

The funny thing about 12 was...I enjoyed the hunts (aka. quests) more than I enjoyed going through the actual plot. They just provided better challenge, but most importantly, you get to meet the large ham that is Gilgamesh!

I first rented Dragon Age: Origins quite some months ago, and won't lie wasn't impressed by it personally, though I considered giving it another go after quite enjoying Dragon Age 2, and I got gifted the Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Pack on steam by a friend when it was dirt cheap... so yeah :P

give it another try RF, you wont see how epic it truely is right away. you need to start getting the alliances together and stuff before you start to see just how epic it is. I'll agree it has a semi-slow start, things are way too easy at first, but it gets alot harder later.

Oh it was it being to easy, it just didn't particularly grip me... or rather, I thought it was alright to start with, then found it a bit 'meh' as it progressed, but I'm giving it another chance since I didn't finish it because of that when I rented it :3

Hmmm Need 15 dollars to get 3rd Strike online. However, got rl to deal with. Plus. The button congif is just like SSF2T HDRemix. It a PS3 controller. Not the DC controller. Jeez.
