State of Decay

Has anybody been following this game ? My friend turned me onto it this morning. Great concept, basically an open world zombie game focussing on survival. I have skimmed much of their site but am still kind of on the fence about it mostly because they haven't talked much about the PC version just the 360.

I'm still waiting for a opened world zombie game done right. Dead Rising was good, but a bit too comedic to be taken seriously. I haven't played Left 4 Dead yet.

You would think people will get tired making Zombie games right about now. :roll:

Left 4 Dead was not my cup of tea but I dislike co-op. 

You would think people will get tired making Zombie games right about now. :roll:

I am picky with what zombie games I play, games in general really, so I am not worn out yet. 

I'm sick of zombies, but The Walking Dead is a diamond in the rough.:Pbugbag

The game looks fun but I only lasted 3 episodes of the show before I quit that. 

Season 1 was good, season 2 was mostly bad, but season 3 was amazing.:P

Maybe this game will be another diamond, who knows.:P

I certainly hope so. The gaming industry could use more diamonds to remind the big boys how it's done. I emailed the developers to see if they could answer some of my questions. We'll see how friendly they are, I got stonewalled on their forum. Last developer I emailed was Dontnod Entertainment about Remember Me and I never got a reply from them.

I still wish I would have emailed the Portal 2 developer. The guy who ran the operation says his email in the Commentary and asks you to email him with your thoughts on the game. I thought that was pretty cool.:P

I like it when developers interact witth us, makes me more willing to part with my money if they spare some time.

I agree, on the Journey website the creators often talk to their customers on the forums . It shows that they care, and are really trying to make a good game for the gamer. I think Activision should give out their email address.... The amount of emails a day they would get would be ridiculous.;|

The demo is out on xbox right now. I'm downloading as we spe...er as I type.

Let's hope it lives up to expectations :D

Everything I have heard says downloadable only. 

It is, sadly. I think I'm going to buy it soon :D

As a PC gamer I am used to downloadable only.  Most brick and mortor stores carry only a fraction of games on PC. Steam for instance has over 7000 games available. EB has a small wall of PC games.

But you can't do that if you download it on your console?

You said you had to download it on your brother's console.

I bought it on my other xbox- the one my brother got when my friend gave it to him.

When you buy a game, anyone on the console you buy it on can play it on that console.

The person who buys the game (me) can play from any console, but no other accounts can play on other consoles it is downloaded on. 

Since my brother uses the console I bought it on, that means he can sign on as himself and play on that console

Since I bought it, I can play as myself from any console I want

Make sense now? :P
