It's amazing, I loved Half Life.:P

Hmm, I've never heard of it. Was it first-person? Can you believe I saw someone on youtube claim Halo was the first FPS?:P

It was a 2.5D game. Like Doom. It looked like a FPS but it was a trick of the time when games weren't truly first person. The first true FPS was Quake in 1996. I can believe the bit about Halo. The Halo fan base really irritates me sometimes. Gamers in general really, so many people have no idea about history. I had someone tell me that Halo was the first game that you could dual wield guns in when Goldeneye had that feature and was released in 1997.

It took me years to track down Rise of the Triad. I played it in grade 5 on the class computer and never knew the name of the game. I basically kept describing the game to friends and fellow gamers on the internet until someone pointed me to it over on GOG.

Perfect Dark also came out first. It really didn't bother me that he didn't know, it was the fact he told other people they were wrong when they brought up Half Life and Perfect Dark.

It was the first modern console FPS. Maybe they were confused. :P

I've heard people on youtube say that Halo copied off of CoD. I think I win :P

^I remember people saying that too. I clearly remember someone saying Halo 4's multiplayer copied Call of Duty... And he's in this very union!:o

First modern shooter? Well it's not really modern now, and I actually think Goldeneye matched it in gameplay, which came out before it.

Demon's Souls is easy for Dark Souls vets though.

Demon's Souls is easy anyway once you get pass a certain point. I was able to kill twelve bosses back to back. It's funny because I was struggling and then I just went on a rampage.:P
