That was smart of you. :Pstephenage
It was only because I'm such a skilled gamer when it comes to racers. I just drove around for a while drifting and then I hit a sign(?) and noticed the car got slightly damaged. I noticed how realistic it was, so I drove it into a wall.(or in the words of Diego, in the wall)

:P

Wait! I worded it wrong.

I played the first Burnout shortly after release, so I knew the game's involvement around crashes. However, I didn't know it was that realistic in Burnout: Paradise.

So it took me 30 minutes to understand how realistic the crashes were. Not that the game contained damaged at all.

I'm going to say the worst bits of RE5 are the QTEs. Especially when they make them harder on harder difficulties and when you are playing online you have to both press them at the same time... Which due to slight lag between you both can be impossible. Me and Thru got stuck on QTEs more than any other part of the game.

The beginning of inFamous has an awesome QTE. Press the start button and you make a city explode.

They are fine. As long as they are not over used and stupidly placed.

You can say that about literally anything. Let's comment on the actual use of them please, not hypotheticals.

-.- really? He said basically what I thought so what's the problem? I'm showing that we had the same thought without being redundant and typing it again.

But okay fine, and I'll give a real, non hypothetical, example. Ugh!

When saying "if they are not overused" I think of that as not feeling as if you are forced and therefore provides no more enjoyment. If there is a QTE for every person you kill so to speak, that would ruin the pacing and could effectively ruin an action game. Imagine if there were QTE's everytime you smithed, enchanted, fought, opened a door, or bribed someone in Skyrim. Do you know how annoying that would be? I do think that QTE's can add immersion into a game, but at the same time can ruin one in the wrong spots.

The use of QTE's in the God of War series is a prime example of how they can be used effectively. They are used cinematically to give the player the feeling of doing the fighting in the scene that they would otherwise be incapable of doing through the core combat mechanics. The amount is also on point (for the most part). It was also a good choice in making some of them optional, like when fighting a Centaur, after being weakened you can either kill it by keep attacking or use the QTE to finish it off. This makes it so it doesn't feel forced and keeps the player from hating the QTE's.

I'd say the QTEs that trigger flashbacks in MGS4 are amazing.
