All of us are members of GAMESPOT which gives us latest and up-to-date info on all games..
So what different are we going to do in here??

Because GameSpot isn't always up to date, (I could use my union as an example, we have recieved pictures and info there long before GS did, plus some of it, they didn't even get) a lot of info is released long before GS gets it, if GS even gets it that is, not to mention , this is our own little community, we don't have to worry about spammers or trolls in this union, if we want to discuss something, whereas trolls are a constant problem in GS' game forums... Mainly due to the fact that it's connected to the GameFAQ's forums.
and to add on to what SG said.. Everything that is recorded from someone else that is not a GS staffer does not get put onto the site, i.e. videos taken at a gaming convention by someone..
This allows you to get info that GS will not put on the site ;)
Not to mention, people who sign up have gotta be gamers, right? I hate trying to talk to people about video games, and they either don't know what I'm talking about or don't care. This way, everyone games, and so everyone understands. I mean, the people I'm surrounded by have no clue what Castlevania or Super Smash Bros. is. Forget trying to explain to them what's a gaming console.
