Well there are two actually, but give all the things it does to your body it's really not. You actually burn fat faster and you have a higher metabolism and it has shown to have a relaxing effect. But give the cons it's not really anything anyone should do

Is that really true? Most of the old people I know that smoke aren't exactly the thinnest people out there if you know what I'm saying :?

Well i am not saying it's putting it to overdrive, it helps unless you live unhealthy on the side it's even worse

Well yeah :P, but if you eat unhealthy it's not going to be a wonderdrug to help you lose weight. People that stop smoking usually gain 10 pounds after the quit

That doesn't necessarily mean that it increases the metabolism. Aren't there a bunch of side effects of quiting smoking that cause weight gain? I think it causes depression in some people and some people start eating to fill the hole in their lungs left from smoking.
