Are they getting old or are they good for the games?
Cinematics are awesome, they allow you to take a break from the gameplay and let you in on the story. I think they should stick with games forever.

[QUOTE="The_Last_Ride"][QUOTE="naju890_963"]They are two very different things, you can't really compare them much.naju890_963you mean they are different in telling stories?yeah cinematics are little bits, unlike movies which are just a very long cinematic. Well in the core they are basicly the same. They tell stories
Not always. o_o That's like saying a book and a movie are the same because they tell stories. Cinematics in games aren't always used to tell a story.RoseFlambe169what do you mean "not always", it does to a certain degree
Okay, for instance a cinematic of a car crashing or going through the finish line in a racing game. Unless you're saying that tells the story of the car crashing or finishing, it doesn't tell any sort of story. It probably just looks cool. Another example is the Mortal Kombat Fatalities. If you consider those cinematics, those don't tell much of a story either aside from exactly how the player died. There's no connection to or progression in any story though.RoseFlambe169yeah that is true, but i am refering more to the other cinemtics

yeah, but i meant that off course. But if you have small cinematics, they just show a little explosion or whateverI wish to only discuss them.stephenagebut there is no point in doing that, because they don't really do much
Why don't we make a question of the week thread, that way each week you could ask one of these questions, instead of having individual threads for every single one of them that become obsolete very soon.nintendo_warrio
Or just a game discussion topic, like the Naughty Dog Collective has.
well i am not the one trolling here... Anyways, would you like there to be more movie cinematics or game cinematics if you know what i meanAt least he's making topics!:P
Just try to respect each other.

Respect is a luxury. Overcrowding the board with topics is not.

So do you want me to make topics? If so I will more than happily spam the board with pointless crap.Â

I think there are too many game cinematic's in games like Uncharted, but I don't want anymore movie cinematic's just to cover a small topic. I think it should merge with the gameplay.
