I thought that we should decide on what could be considered the "ending" to some games that don't have a definite end. Any thing we can decide an "end" for and agree on it with eachother will be edited into this main post for future reference... unless Bugbag doesn't like this idea and shuts it down :P

I don't like this idea. I thought this topic was going to be a place to discuss why games with open worlds always seem to have bad endings.:P

Ok.

The first game open for discussion will be the Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind.

When do you think the game is 'finished'?

When you beat the main quest. Then there are side quests for 100% completion

I just thought we figured this out already.:P

If a game has a story and you finish it, that's completion. DLCs, and never ending games don't count. If we discuss this further, can we eventually turn this thread into a, "Why are open world games endings so bad?" topic?:P

I think never ending games should count. A game like skyrim counts when I'd say that is nearly impossible to finish. I beat fallout's main story, but I don't feel like I actually beat the game. I was just going to offer suggestions for what could be considered the end for games that don't really have a story.

The endings to Fallout are factual, but for games with no endings it's opinionated, and that makes it seem unfair to count. I personally don't think we should count The Sims.

What does everyone else think?:P

I don't want Kman to feel unheard though. It's just hard to count games like this.

We don't have to do that yet. I want to see if Kman has any other games he wants to discuss so we can settle this discussion for now.:P
