Final Fantasy I doesn't.Â
II has that big, dumb Guy. Â
III doesn't really have any annoying characters.
IV has Cid.
V doesn't have an annoying character either.
VI has Edgar.
VII has Cid.
VIII has Rinoa, although everyone is pretty annoying. Except for Squall, until the last disc.
IX has Steiner
X has Tidus and Wakka and Yuna, although she's mostly annoying because of him.Â
X-2 has Brother.
XII has Vaan.
XIII has Hope. Â
[QUOTE="lordmew"]EDGAR!!!
Are you out of your mind?
Even Strago were more annoying.Â

Edgar is an arrogant playboy.Â
I'd say that I couldn't stand his smug face, but Sabin looked really similar and I rather like him. Â
I would say that the opinion of annoying characthers are of personal opinionÂ
You know what, for some reason Yuffie seemed kind of annoying too, but I don't know what it was that made her seem like that :?
FFFU Fantasy Check Mark.Â
there is no way someone can be that energetic all the time. trust me, ive tried..... and now im paying for it.
but i do have a reason to find yuffie annoying. even though she had a great character development, she was just..... i cant even remember why anymore.... oh well, all that matters is that i found her annoying in the first place
You see her as energetic during the cut scenes.Â
And it's not like time doesn't pass between them. FF VII isn't one of those games that spends a ridiculous amount of time in cut scenes. Â

I kinda feel that Yuffie was less annoying than Vanille :O. At least Yuffie seems funny and reliable...well not with materias though :P
I thought they were both annoying. Hope for his character and Vanille for her voice acting.Balmane
That's probably the difference. I didn't have to listen to the English version voice acting. We just get the Japanese voices with subtitles and her Japanese voice actress is really good.Â

Yeah I guess. I will probably use Japanese dubs next time if it's actually in the game.Â
We just have to hope they will pick it back up with Versus. And Disgaea is amazing, one of the top RPG's. I also love Shadow Hearts, that's another series that shines but not many have heard of.Balmane
I have wanted to play the Shadow Hearts games FOREVER but can't seem to find them, especially not for cheap, and because I don't want to play them until I have the whole series, I've kind of painted myself into a corner x.x. I've had Koudelka forever, but really want to get my hands on the PS2 entries.

Koudelka is an ok game. But when you play Shadow Hearts and you notice things from the first game it will make yous smile. They are very dark games.Â

So I've heard, It has always really interested me, I love dark themes when they are presented correctly and aren't just edgy to be edgy, if you get what I mean. In a way (from what I've seen) The battle system reminds me a lot of Legend of Dragoon with the whole timing your hit aspect.

Yep it's similar. And it is a very dark game. And can be depressing at times. And what you do effects the ending since there is a good and bad ending. I got the bad ending :(Â
So far I only thought of these.
An interestingstory
Likable characters
A different setting each game
Great battle system
Memorable villain
It's themes are memorable
Chocobo
Summons

A great point you bring up here, a different setting. I know a lot of games who use the same setting or similar settings. I mean if you look at Uncharted for example, the settings are similar, but you're right; I feel like Final Fantasy has the uniqueness in setting for each game.Â

It also has a different theme for the most part.

Yea, and I am pretty sure every game has a different way of winning it and ending it.Â
