Game sounds more awesome with the new details from the alpha.... but...

There has been no official word yet but there are a few articles if you do a google search that suggest the game will launch with the subscription model, then move to F2P later in the games life.

They'd be smart to launch Free to Play, IMHO. It's been proven to be a good business model for MMOs, and it seems to be where the industry is going.

If you launch with a subscription and then go Free to Play soon after, it screams "failure", and a lot of people abandon ship.

It's been confirmed to be launched with a Subscription model only. ZOS has done nothing but publicly denounce the possibility of moving toward F2P.

This whole F2P speculation is brought on by a group of people who apparently want TESO to fail. Why they want this.. I don't know. But they want it... bad. They hope for it. Nothing about this diatribe is even remotely official.

The only official announcement is that TESO will launch with a subscription model and plans to stay that way.
