Here is where we fight the war against loneliness, to win this war we must bring together as many people as we can.
Therefor we need a plan, and here is where we shall devise one.

At the moment the question is, what do we post on the Gamespot Recruitment Board?
We need an ad, a creative one. I've got nothing right now, any suggestions?

Well here's something I whipped up for ya. Bear in mind I did it in an extremely limited amount of time (twenty minutes) and it's the first time I've used GIMP. But here it is:



I got the image from a Jack Chick comic, that guy is so looney I feel this makes better use of the art. Anyway I made this because I was toying around with the idea of having a contest in this union in which people fill in the blank speech bubbles of random comics. I think it stands out. Let me know if you want to use it or change anything on it, it is admittedly a bit of a rush job.

I like it.It's very creative:)Mybe you can say ON the last panel on that kid saying how can you contact alex?I mean some people dont know how.Which is prretywierd.or you can send a link to the union.

Well if I was going to post it in the Recruitment Board I'd have a contact alx222000 link and a see the union link, probably towards the bottom of the advert. Or I could be extremely lazy and tell them to click my Creator's Guild tag, because I linked it here and someone might as well make use of it.

It works pretty well. I don't know, it feels a little flat, but that's probably just me.
I can't think of anything particular to change.

Well, that's about how I feel about. Not particularly clever, but I wasn't going for that, bascially my goal was to have something slightly better than See this _____ Union, join it now, because that is pretty much what everyone else does. That and trying to come up with just enough dialogue, or in my case small enough, to fill the bubbles is... a touch tedious. Anyway I'll post it on the recruitment board,

To be honest I'm not sure how effective the recruitment board is. I don't think I've ever really looked at, and besides with so many unions around, any ad we put up just gets pushed further and further down, and nobody looks past the first couple of pages of the board. I think having our members send out invites to their friends is much more effective. But that could just be me.

Most of the members who were active are now busy with their real lives.
We need more active members, any suggestions?

I was thinking the same thing. I mean for goodness sake one officer resigned and another hasn't shown up in a month.(although Eboshi may have had a family tragedy or something because they haven't been on GS at all)Suggestions? I have but one. The thing I thought we didn't really need. Affiliates. Since Nightclaw is an officer maybe we could affiliate with his SOW union which has like 1500 members or something. It would be really kind of him to explain what we are about more than he would any other union. There are so many people in that union and we are sure to get a few.

also maybe more contests and games. Space Story was huge. We need another something fun. Come to think of it when Space Story was really popular we should have put it on the home page or a telegram about it for all union members to come join.

we could have an inviting contest but those aren't the easiest things to run I've heard.

The last thing I want to see is this union die.

inviting contests can only be run by the leader, since he gets PMs of who joins. It makes everything easier if you use CTRL+F to find names. Saved me a lot of time. But hey, if you guys want to affiliate w/ my union, all you have to do is ask.

Huh? Oh, yeah, right. Yeah, I'm here, just a little busy.
Affiliations.......Well, personally I'd rather not worry about it, but it might just help the union so I guess we should. Nightclaw, I propose a treaty of affiliation.

Other unions, I haven't seen it but should we try affiliating with the "RPG and design" union? I'm directing this at Skine because I know he's a member. I've made tags for the Sonic Team Union so I might ask them. Any other suggestions?

We could start an affiliation thread and then send out a PM to all our members asking them if they are part of any unions that would like to affiliate with us. Just have them post their union in the thread along with a ahort caption explaining what their union is about and why we should affiliate with them. Naturally we don't have to accept them all, but it really can't hurt us.

Oh I also suggest NO hater unions.

Ex: XBox haters or Sony haters or Wii are the haters :P

Although I doubt anyone would be offended enough to leave it still isn't the best if a sony lover was with a union affiliated with 100 sony hater unions.
