Soo, I finally got a Saturn censored to work and am now playing SotN. It's a little slow, but not terrible. If anyone has any questions about it, feel free to ask.
really wasn't expecting a working saturn censored to exist. documentation is supposed to be horrible for the saturn. did you get the japanese or english version? could you find a translation patch?
Well... Her main attack is a bullet of energy that she shoots out of her hands, and a secondary attack is a short range kick that does more damage. She can jump three times in midair, and also has many spell attacks that are basically the same combos as Alucard's spells.

Maria is basically megaman. She has a bullet attack that can be charged up twice that costs magic (single shot, slow moving multi hit orb thing and fast multihit beam thing) and she can kick for her main attacks. Running and kicking does a jump kick, crouch kick does a little kick thing. She can also shoot at downward angles. She has a triple jump and an infinite superjumps and I believe the backdash. She has her 3 frame SotN walk and run animation.
She also has several spells. One is hakoden. She also has four animal spells: Tiger (spews fire) Bird (summons owl familiar) Turtle (heals 20%) and Dragon (summons a controllable dragon). All the subweapons are available to her, no crashing, and she can have up to 999 hearts by default.Â
She's really fun to play as, also. Like, really, really fun.Â
I'm not Semi, but no. They changed her in DXC to match her Rondo character more. An example of which would be her attack being birds instead of energy and she has her animal subweapons instead of the normal ones. Her moves have also been changed and she no longer has her spells. So basically, she's completely different.
When he says different, I say retarded. DXC Maria is just plain bad compared to NitM. I much prefer NitM maria, DXC maria just feels wrong.semianonymous

The game itself pales in comparison to the psx version, so the main reason people play it is because of the added features (Maria mode, new areas, casual Richter, etc.)
Yeah, I wasn't particularly fond of the new sprite either. It looked way too... bulky. They should have used the sprite shown in Maria's bubble when mentioning Richter as more of a reference. Also, shouldn't they have fixed it and made the hair brown this time? I mean come on...
