Castlevania: THE MOVIE- UPDATED: 11/13/09 *sighs*

Hi guys!

More info from Paul Anderson (IGN article November 2nd) regarding the new movie. I'm biting my nails because this is either going to be very entertaining, or very screwed up. My two cents is that we're dealing with a LOT of picky old school fans that aren't going to go for this at all. Either way, SOME of this does look promising, and we can only hope right? :) Some key points to the article:

If its going to be about the genesis, shouldnt Leon and Mathias and Walter be in it? I mean, LoI has a great story. It has love, sacrifice, revenge, treasonkenshinhimura16

You'd think Paul would take that into consideration being that it's how the entire thing began.  I have a bad feeling though he'll be making his own "twist" on the beginning of how Castlevania came to be. :(  I understand that Simon is going to be the main character, but I personally would like to see more important characters used as well like you mentioned.

As far as who should be cast? Ummm....I've gotta thing for Stewart Townsend but don't see him working well in that..I have to think about that one :P

NEWS.... NEW RUMOR about the movie.... Sonia belmont is pry in the movie and will be play by this actress :Dchang_1910

She's got the right look,but hopefully Paul Anderson won't do with her costume what he did with Jill Valentine's:wink:

I hope Hector is in it,but I'm also curious as to how they're gonna do Death.(we all know it's not Castlevania without Dracula's Right Hand)

But Jonathan Frakes as the "Grandfather"???  Holy Crap I'm going to think of Star Trek all the way through this movie! :lol:

Well the teaser doesn't look half bad,but why Dracula Begins??? Paul could have atleast put "Dracula's Beginning" or something like that.

I guess next year huh??  From what it says on Imdb they're in pre-production from whatever that means...though being that it's going to be released next year, I'm surprised they don't have more of a character list...Syrinx61

Pre-production is gathering the cast before they start shooting it,I guess.I'm really running out of patience for it,though.:D Hopefully next year and Hopefully they don't ruin it :D damn,I'm talking about Paul Anderson,he'll never get it right.:(

I have to wonder whom it was that thought putting, "From The Director of Resident Evil and Alien Vs. Predator," was a good idea. Those movies merely bring to mind horrible memories and nightmares filled with mediocrity.

Then again mediocre movies seem to pull in alot nowadays... :?

Fully agree....putting that on top of the poster seems more like they're shooting themselves in the arm.  The only VG turned movie that I thought was pretty decent has been Silent Hill- too bad they couldn't get the director from that :(

Well at least the teaser poster does look nice...but I just hope that Konami at least gives it the Silent Hill treatment and makes some of the familiar monsters appear ( I better see Death!) and hopefully like Silent Hill, they will just use mostly music from the series. I dont think Konami will let them hurt it too bad though, I mean like stated previously, Silent Hill wasnt all that bad of a movie. The RE movies werent that bad, except for the whole matrix slo mo elements in them... then again RE4 has those moments left and right...Andrew_D28

:lol: No no that's not going to happen is it??  Speaking of monsters that we probably should see: Death, Medusa?, oh god not those fleamen! Those flaming skull pillars, axemen, zombies, er...bats :roll:  I can't think of any more on the top of my head....

How could they leave these annoying things out?? (I was very annoyed by them when I played Curse of Darkness,but they're awesome!!)

I also hope they don't leave out the Harpies and Succubi.:wink:
