[QUOTE="canana"]My favourite English team is Leverpool followed by Chelsea. There's no Manchester United for me.iliastse

Start watching some videos from the 70's and the 80's mate, and it won't be difficult to choose between Liverpool an Chelsea

TIP : Despite the fact that Liverpool hasn't won the English Premiership for almost 20 years, we are still the English team with the most league titles  And needless to say we are the best English team in European trophies.

Yes,i know Liverpool's History,they were a great team in the 70's.

My favourite team is Ferrari, since the era of Niki Lauda (great Austrian driver). I remember Lauda winning his last championship just with 0.5 (yes 0.5) points gap from Prost. At the moment I support Raikonen and for a strange reason I hate Fernando Alonso !!!

Yeah I saw Kovalainen's crush, he got lucky ending up on those old tires.

iliastse

Yes,he was a great driver, but i don't remember him very well. But i do remember the rivalry between Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna.

My favourite team is McLaren and my favourite Driver was Ayton Senna, now it's Lewis Hamilton.

And for some strange reason,i don't like F.Alonso as well.

Then you probably know Gerhard Berger too.

khatibi22

Yes,i remember him.

This might be partly because of the racists taunt Hamilton received from Alonso's Spanish fans during Formula One testing. That incident caused a loss of Alonso's popularity among Formula1 fans.

Yeah, he's Austrian too. Great driver as well but he rarely reached the finish line :P When he did though, he was almost always in the top-3.

I dislike him way before that incident. For a strange reason, I tend to see arrogance in someone's face and F.Alonso is that kind of personality. Whenever he achieved a win (especially against M.Schumacher) he face and attitude was like "hey I won the World Cup for the 10th time"   , while whenever M.Schumacher beat him in the race, Alonso was like "oh dear who's that German driver who beat me again"

True you are canana

Short football story : We played at home against Turkey on 25th March (our national bank holiday for celebrating our revolution against the Turks back in 1821). Final result ? Turkey played superbly and won 4-1 :o :o :o You can easily imagine how the Greek media handled it (national disaster etc). But "King Otto" Rehaggel kept his nerves and said "no problem, it's just a game, besides if we need to win in Turkey, we will"

Turkey had a terrible series of games after that 4-1 victory against us, while we started winning games again :D Finally, when we went to Turkey for the 2nd round, all we needed was a win, not just for going through to the Euro 2008 finals, but in order to finish 1st. Final result 1-0 win for us, and trust me it could have easily been 4-0.

My view on the Chelsea-Liverpool game :

- The tie was decided on 2 injuries, Aurelio's and Skrtel's. In the first leg, Aurelio gets injured, Riise gets in and scores the own goal. Tonight, Skrtel gets injury on an effort to stop Drogba, Hyypia gets in, then Drogba scores 2 goals and Hyypia concedes the penalty

- Cech has made fantastic saves in both legs and yet flops in the "hurricane" shot of Babel (if you check the shot closer, the ball went like a bit crazy).

- The referee didn't make much of a difference tonight, but I can't let some things go unmarked. He didn't hesitate to show the centre's spot (neither SkySports did to show that the score was already 2-1, I wonder why ) when Essien scored the goal while Drogba was clearly standing in front of Reina. And secondly, can someone explain to me why he didn't award that foul on Gerrard in the very end of extra time ?

- The moment Grant tried to delay the game and catch the ball, with Gerrard slightly pushing him and Grant sitting down to his seat was priceless

- Who has the guts to say that THIS game was boring ?

- Nights like this make me proud of being Liverpool once again.

- I'll obviously watch the final, Platini can dance around with his puppets (Gallard included), and of course he can keep giving half of the tickets of the final to the sponsors and not to the supporters (I guess they still haven't realised why there's so much black market in the tickets of CL final).

- Oh and another thing, that may sound arrogant but it's true. Yossi Benayoun and F.Torres did what Messi and Eto'o couldn't do last night, just watch the move and the pass of Benayoun on Torres's equilizer. If that was Ronaldihno and Henry, the media would have made this video of the year.

- For me it's going to be like the final of 2006. Back then I didn't want anyone to win, same thing goes for now.

- Cheyrou's curse is over.

Well I'm neutral on this, since my team in Greece has already been eliminated in the UEFA Cup (surprisingly it was by Rangers that actually reached the final). As for the final, I'm a bit fond of Rangers, since the Scottish temper is a bit similar to the Greek :D

It's been football (not soccer) for the majority of the true fans. May be if the teams in U.S. get a little more attention and provide some good talents, or the U.S. national team achieves something, it may become popular as well. But it's a hard road you know.

Now I'm the one that's lost :P Names like Sharks or Bullets or Dodgers or whatever are like NASA's sience to me :P I'll be honest, I won't google the name, but this should refer either to baseball, hockey or rugby.
