Are you good at cooking?
If so, what is your favorite thing to make?
And for those who aren't, why not try to improve? =P
It's really not that bad in college PMP. :P There will no doubt be lots of different restaurants and places to eat so you don't have to be cooking that much. ;)julian_jrStill not, I prefer to make my own food instead of going to fast food restaurants. That's one of the bad things we have here..we barely have any good restaurants:(
Are YOU good at cooking?
I can cook a bit but not that big of a cook. Mostly a baker. I can cook basic stuff. Strangely, I can't do it while other people are watching me.

Tell me how and I'll make it. Tell me just what it is and there's a decent chance I can make it (so long as it's not a foreign recipe, such as Italian, Japanese, etc.).mariostar0001Are you talking from scratch here? And without detailed instructions with images. Just basic ingredients, time, and basic steps.

Not often, but I can do it, so long as I've someone to constantly ask what to do next. :P
I have no cooking skills.[QUOTE="julian_jr"]It's really not that bad in college PMP. :P There will no doubt be lots of different restaurants and places to eat so you don't have to be cooking that much. ;)lancelot200Aren't you the rich student. lol That's how it's like at my college, we get a certain amount of meals per week (or a certain amount per semester if you go with one plan) and eating takes a simple swipe of your student ID. That and we get $300 a semester automatically put into our IDs which we can use to purchase food.
I've done that before, yes. Not often, but I can do it, so long as I've someone to constantly ask what to do next. :Pmariostar0001So, you need more than just the recipe. You need someone to verify stuff so that it goes well.
[QUOTE="lancelot200"]I forgot about meal plansjulian_jrDo you have any at your college? Once I start living off-campus I won't have them anymore though.I live off campus. We do have them, but they don't work for restaurants.

Ahh I see, there's only a few restaurants where meal swipes work that are university owned, however everywhere around campus you can use this other money that is put into your student ID with no problem.
It's not that hard, unless you're trying to cook something that takes like an hour to make it's not that complicated. Those noodles just require putting boiling water and letting it stir for a few minutes.I wish I could :( I can barely make those instant noodles and sandwiches. I nees to start to learn cooking to be prepared for my college.Â
How hard is cooking to learn, I mean how much time will it take for me to learn cooking?Â

I can really only cook a select few things. I really need to learn how to do more cooking sometime instead of relying on other people to cook for me.TAMKFanIf you live with a roommate all the time then it's no problem. :P

Why do you need to learn cooking for College? You are already in College right? :)
Only problem I have is with meat, always been paranoid I could poison myself lolPrincess-peachYou can eat red meat. You shouldn't eat poorly cooked chicken.

[QUOTE="horgen123"]Meal plans is a good idea. julian_jrThey're alright, however by the second semester of college I hated them because they kinda limit you on where you want to eat since you have to use them all or you lose money.Get a better room with a small kitchen space.

I have been thinking about getting one... And just eat a bigger lunch at uni instead of dinner at home. Would cost more though

They have a few of those but mostly for older married couples. The only places that have what you're saying are the apartments and houses around campus that students can get if they want to live off-campus. Everyone in my college ends up living in one of those eventually except for a few people...
Or just eat 6 small meals.lancelot200I'm close to do that now... 4-5 in a normal day.

Nothing like that around here.
