Are you good at cooking?

If so, what is your favorite thing to make?

And for those who aren't, why not try to improve? =P

It's really not that bad in college PMP. :P There will no doubt be lots of different restaurants and places to eat so you don't have to be cooking that much. ;)

Still not, I prefer to make my own food instead of going to fast food restaurants. That's one of the bad things we have here..we barely have any good restaurants:(

That's understandable. Well for college the best things to cook are the following: easy mac, noodles, and several microwaveable different foods. The quicker and easier it is to cook the better.

I know how to cook a few things, although my specialty is cooking outside on a charcoal grill. In college though, you learn to cook using a microwave for almost everything. :P

Are YOU good at cooking?

I can cook a bit but not that big of a cook. Mostly a baker. I can cook basic stuff. Strangely, I can't do it while other people are watching me.

Tell me how and I'll make it. Tell me just what it is and there's a decent chance I can make it (so long as it's not a foreign recipe, such as Italian, Japanese, etc.). I learned how to cook mostly because I enjoyed eating, and when you're the cook you (usually) have greater control of what food's actually made.

I've done that before, yes. Not often, but I can do it, so long as I've someone to constantly ask what to do next. :P

That's how it's like at my college, we get a certain amount of meals per week (or a certain amount per semester if you go with one plan) and eating takes a simple swipe of your student ID. That and we get $300 a semester automatically put into our IDs which we can use to purchase food.

I wish I could :( I can barely make those instant noodles and sandwiches. I nees to start to learn cooking to be prepared for my college.

How hard is cooking to learn, I mean how much time will it take for me to learn cooking?

Ahh I see, there's only a few restaurants where meal swipes work that are university owned, however everywhere around campus you can use this other money that is put into your student ID with no problem.

It's not that hard, unless you're trying to cook something that takes like an hour to make it's not that complicated. Those noodles just require putting boiling water and letting it stir for a few minutes.

They're alright, however by the second semester of college I hated them because they kinda limit you on where you want to eat since you have to use them all or you lose money.

They don't have those in dorms. If you live on campus they require you to get a meal plan since it's part of the housing.

Depending on the restaurant, some places could be all you can eat. There's a few of those in my college and all they cost are a meal swipe.

They have a few of those but mostly for older married couples. The only places that have what you're saying are the apartments and houses around campus that students can get if they want to live off-campus. Everyone in my college ends up living in one of those eventually except for a few people...

The all you can eat ones are my least favorite. One of those cafeterias was right next to my dorm room so I went whenever I didn't feel like walking 10-20 minutes to get food and then 10-20 minutes walking back. I hated the place though, and only went since it was convenient.
