Zelda: WW HD's PS4 Box Art Seen at Local EB Games Store

It has come to our attention that a boxart with an incredibly misleading look has been seen somewhere in Montreal, Canada.

A consumer here in Montreal has contacted us and showed us this very interesting prank. At a local EB Games store in downtown Montreal, there was a boxart detailing The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD being on none other than the PlayStation 4! Yeah, I know, right? That's what i thought. It must be a mistake.

As it turns out, it is indeed a mistake. Apparently, the clerk who works at the EB store had this box made and was presented to consumers in attempt to make a joke and see people's reaction. As funny as that sounds, this will cause a lot of confusion for any consumers who walk in and see this box.

Interestingly, the back of the box is still the same as the regular Wii U game case. It even showcases the Gamepad's features in the game. What do you guys think about this "joke"? Is it too much? Or can this be a good opportunity for a great lauch? Sign off your thoughts below.

No thanks. Bought a Wii U for Nintendo games. Have no desire to see them go multiplatform.

Prankster shouldn't have used the "Only on Playstation" tag at the top of the box. That alone gives away that it's fake, since the game is obviously on WiiU. If it was just the regular PS4 sleeve, like you'd see on any multiplat, then at least the more desperate of speculators could start talking about how Nintendo might finally be going multiplat and/or eventually third-party.

I think Gamestop is the one who makes those preorder sleves for upcomming games, so its possible that that was just a stock template for a PS4 box printed up.

Not entertaining that I think this is real, btw, just saying that that alone could be explained away.

Clearly fake or photoshop. It says only for PS4 on the top even though the games is on Wii U, if it was on PS4, it wouldn't say that.

If I recall correctly, the ports of Sonic Adventure 1 (before getting ported to PC that same gen) and Sonic Adventure 2 had "ONLY FOR NINTENDO GAMECUBE" tabs.

My Sonic Adventure 2 for the Gamecube doesn't seem to have that on it.

It does on the North American versions. Since I also own some PAL GameCube games myself, exclusive (if only for a short time like Bloody Roar, Resident Evil, or Viewtiful Joe) third party games there never seem to have it.

That wind waker box art looks so good coupled with that PS4 logo. If only it where true. It's almost like they where meant to be together.

This would be the only way I'll play Nintendo exclusives going forward, until they make a proper (not gimmicky) console. None of this dual screen, motion gaming nonsense.

I would buy eight copies if true, one for each Triforce shard I'd have to hunt down.

I wonder if there's someone here that actually bought this bad PhotoShop job.

Would play, look and sound better and have trophy support and hey, even DLC's, online multiplayer with greater numbers...

Why would it have online multiplayer and DLC?

It were real I would buy it again. Wind waker is just that good.

But it would have no integrated Off TV Play and no Miiverse. I struggle to understand how or why it would sound better, or, more puzzlingly, why a singleplayer game would magically get DLC and multiplayer just because it got ported to a different platform.

Oh right, it's goddyx................lol.
