Zelda Wii - What will it look like?

In an Interview, Eiji Aonuma (the maker of all Zelda titles today) discussed what the next Zelda might be. He brought up the idea of a 3D remake of Link to the Past, but he also mentioned that the next Zelda's visual style would have to match the gameplay at hand (like it always has). Here is the evolution so far:

1. Which style is your favorite?
2. What will the next Zelda look like?

Something new.

Something extremely realistic. Link as an older man, in his mid 30s; yes I'm going NA on of yall because I've been playing the same 13 to 17 year kid for the past two decades, and I've grown really tired of it.

I want it to amaze me.

A healthy blend of cartoony, colorfulness and realistic graphics. I'm not sure how that would work, but I won't put it past Nintendo. I really want an enhanced Wind Waker look, with something extra.

Can't wait to see it.

I wouldn't mind Wind Waker style. But I want to see a Wind Waker style presented like painting, kinda like Okami.

Majora's Mask style is my favorite. It's nearly identical to OoT's, but it's more colorful and detailed.

As for what the next Zelda should look like... anything but TP's style. I liked the characters, but the environment was too bland.

Hopefully like TP or OoT and it will be better looking than TP, and any Gamecube game, but only by somuch.

Then again, the last one was great looking except a few minor texture issues and it had 40 plus hours of gameplay and a ton of sidequests.

So who cares so long as it looks like a somewhat better version of TP?

It's kind of ironic people used to hate on the visual style of Wind Waker but now I see that some people want it back. lol

I would personally prefer a game that looked like Twighlight Princess but with some elements of Wind Waker thrown in for good measure. It would be really unique.

Definitely TP's style, if they harness the Wii's power to its maximum this time, they'd have something far better looking than SMG.

And a 3D remake of LTTP?!!!! That would be Game of the MILLENNIUM!

I'm pretty sure if Nintendo worked itoutwith Capcom, they could create an amazing game by just combining organs of different games and put it in a LoZ skin.

I'd love to see Link be a cockey young 20 year old, or a noble, battle hardened warrior, but a blood thirsty psycopath, let Kratos keep that to himself. :p

I thought it was a breath of fresh air for the franchise to be honest. If it was more difficult and a bit better designed then it would probably have been my favorite Zelda title.

damn. not half bad.

I like the cellshaded look alot more. It's just more zelday. But they don't HAVE to make the cell shaded games look so bright and kiddy. Take TP's design and cell shade it.

Honestly though, I feel a Zelda western would e really cool.

I'd like it to be cell shaded but not Wind-waker style art, I want cell-shaded versions of the Twlight Princess/Ocarina of Time type of art. Also, I'd like it to be set a in a different time period, perhaps a retro-futuristic steampunk type of world like this . . .

The biggest thing for me is the musical score. The instant I hear a Zelda game's opening music, I tremble in anticipation. The last game that did this for me was WW. For some reason TP'sbeginning just didn't feel asZeldaish as WW, I can;t even remember what the opening theme was, nor what the opening sequence was like. Don't get wrongTP was a great awesome game when compared to other games, but it just didn't stand up against the other zelda titles (Minish Cap FTW).

They can build a better bigger more interesting world with the cel shading and it fits the tone of the game better. I loved Wind Waker and that's the only Zelda game I can say that about.

OoT is soooo overrated. I appreciate it for what it did in terms of innovation but its absolutely no fun to play IMHO.

Nice picture, Kansas.. But I am serious, what I mean is a game to combine all the previous Zelda World into one. To bring back previous worlds, place them in collection of old and new, and experience a game that tied all the stories of each Zelda from previous. You can have all previous incarnations of Ganons be grouped together by another mysterious villian. Have the who universe of Zelda be in perial, each world slowly falling apart. Not only must he save his version of the world, but with all the different version of that world too (aka themes from the other Zelda games). You could have his world be the keypoint to cross into the other worlds, saving it in parts, revisiting old memories, as well with new stuff in the mix. You can have new regions in his place, while being able come back to previous incarnated worlds of other Zelda games. New and old characters, villians, places, and so forth. This could place a true connection with all the other Zeldas in the world.

I would choose TP **** but with alittle more animation to the character models and tecture. That would be perfect....
