Your favorite flop or fail moment?

Which game/console/accessory was your favorite to watch flop? Or what was your favorite fail moment?

Example: my favorite flop was watching everyone meltdown after No Man's Sky was released. Also, my favorite fail moment has to be Sony's PS3 presentation with their "real time weapon switch" and "riiiiidge racer!"

I don't like to see any game flop, I want them all to be great.

It was funny to see Sony fans applaud and cheer when Sony announced they were charging for online play at E3 though.

Watching Kinect failed miserably was the best moment of my gaming life?

Really, the tech isn't advance enough for Kinect and doesn't desrve a second chance.

Andromeda. Bioware have sort of been very much shit for a long while, but the pink haired media parroting how wonderful they are blabbering a bit pile of Polygon pish. It's also EA, and anything bad happening to EA is generally good for the world.

It's petty, but it's also satisfyingly good to see ill brought upon them, probably more entertaining than the game itself. Cheaper too, and won't waste 40 hours of your time.

I got great amusement out of Sony's 2006 E3 presentation. Sony was too arrogant and needed to be humbled a bit at that point in time and their 2006 E3 presentation was hilarious due to how much of a fail and embarrassment it was for them.

The part that never fails to make me laugh is:

"Genji 2 is a game that is based on Japanese history. Being based on history, the stages of the game will also be based on famous battles which actually took place in ancient Japan… so here’s this giant enemy crab."

M$ still trying to win a single gen and failing miserably every single time to Godny.

@davillain-: Kinect sold very well. And I'm still using mine on my X1, also I'm sure VR is completely different for you right? Like it failed but you're depressed about that I'm sure.

MS and Sony conferences 2013 and 2006.

you should see the people on neogaf defending bioware and the character design, arguing that the player models look fine and people are just being critical of the designs because of "unrealistic societal beauty standards" and "you guys just can't accept that some characters can look like plain jane and not all characters need to look like super models." it's fu.cking insanity.

like, no idiots. we just want characters that look fu.cking human. i don't pretend to know the whole story as to why the game turned out the way it did and i'm sure many passionate people worked very hard to make the game. having said that, ea/bioware should be ashamed of themselves for releasing a piece of shit and then charging people full price for it. just gross.

oh it has to be twilight princess. i like the game a lot but the hysteria was real after that one. sometimes people just vent when not agreeing with a certain review but you could tell that some people were genuinely emotional over that 8.8.

I love the recent moments when Sony and Microsoft subtly went at eachother's throats. Like when Sony made the "how to share games on PS4" commercial. Or when Microsoft revealed Scorpio this past past e3, Sony didn't even bother showing the Pro.

My favorite flop to watch was the PS Pro.

Well, it's a video game. The point is escapism. If I want to look at ugly bastards there's a window.

All the PS3 episode was pretty hilarious. The overhype, the tech cell, the Xbox 1.5, etc, etc.

It was funny to see the 360 beat the PS3, in all fronts, against all odds!

Good for you. Too bad MS saw it as a failure on Xbox One.

Oh yeah, VR is right up there as one of my favorite flops.

Sega Saturn - my bios battery died and i had to replace it. Dock for game cartridge dosen't work either.

I wouldn't say that I "liked" to see any system or game flop/fail but there have been instances where I expected them to flop/fail. One of my most expected instances of this was the Atari Jaguar. It was touted as being such a powerful system but pretty much all the games for it looked horrible.

Both the $599 and $499 conference announcements were painful to watch live and are even worse now.

Otherwise, my favorite meltdown was on the SW boards after a reviewer dared to give Twilight Princess an 8.8. Droves of people lost their shit.

My favorite flop is the Xbone. It gave me much pleasure seeing MS fall flat on its face after all the anti-consumer bs they tried to pull

My favorite is: The Continuous High Caliber, Epic Butthurt, Emotionally REKT desperation from COWs in severely wanting for the XBOX platform to fail.

And with SCORPIO around the corner...the Butthurt, the Fear, the Anxiety, the Misery, the Nightmare still continues...

Around here No Man's Sky was pretty entertaining. The PS Pro announce where the Sony execs were all demoralized after getting blindsided by scorpio was also kinda funny. They didnt even want to be there.

The Xbone. Hope Scorpio can turn things around, Xbox fans are beginning to lose hope. Even Crapgamer had to tell his fans to stop losing hope and wait till E3.

All I remember about the Wii presentation (or was it the Wii U?) is someone excitedly exclaiming "It's only as big as 3 DVD cases!!!"

Of all the features you could herald about your new system you chose this? Really?

I almost forgot the other flops. No Mans Flop, Unflopped 4, Street Flopper V, The Flop Guardian, Flop Children, NiFLOPoh and that is on top of the studio closing ClosedStation 4 and the 25fps 720p console called 720pStation Pro.

Microsoft's Xbone reveal. They killed their brand in a single night. Gaming was better for it.

Crushed in graphics by Sony exclusives.

Last place in worldwide sales.

Beaten every single year in worldwide sales by the PS3 despite being 200 dollars cheaper.

Abandoned by Microsoft in its later life.

Absolutely hilarious that Xbox deadender 'glory days' are the single worst piece of consumer electronics ever made - the RRoD plagued Xbox 360.

lol yup. People look back on 360 with rose tinted specs.

It's first year was absolutely abysmal, save Oblivion and Gears right at the end. Absolute crud and HD PS2 ports.

In 2007 it was good and PS3 had a slow start its launch year, but 360 was unplayable. My 360 got the RROD 3 times in a year ffs.

2008 was the last decent year as from 2009 onwards it became the kinect, avatar, HALOGEARSFORZA rehash machine. MS had abandoned gamers by that point.

So yeah looking back 360 beat PS3 in 2007, 2008 was a draw, 2009 - 2013 PS3 wiped the floor with 360.

Lems still cling to that one year they got to win though lol damn it's been a full decade since any console ever challenged the PS3 in terms of games.

Gen after gen it's been an embarrassment to be a PS fan, that is for sure. It's a history of complete flops.

The xbox one is the biggest flop I can remember.

I don't wish for any game to flop. That's something that fanboy asshats seem to revel in, though.
