You really need PS4/PS4Pro to play RDR2 as it was meant to be played (on consoles)...

I hear Rockstar had to downgrade RDR2 quite bit to make it run on regular Xbone. Less detail and all that, you know, when compared to the superior PS4 version of the game.

And of course X1X will also be running this very same downgraded version of the game.

Which means that no matter what Xbone you got, the game still looks far better on regular PS4/PS4Pro, thanks to all the added detail and effects on the PS4 version.

So, as far as consoles go, PS4/PS4Pro is the machine to play the game with, if you want to see and experience the wild west as it was meant to be seen and experienced.

If you insist on playing it on Xbone, you will be like those folk that played AC Black Flag on WiiU instead of a real console...

Sorry about the rant, but it really pisses me off when people insist on playing the most inferior version of a multiplat game on a weak console, instead of playing the best possible version on a real console.

That's just it though. The PS4 is the plebs console this gen. The XB1X literally does everything better. So they stick to their sales, and movie games, because that's literally all they have. Nobody plays sales, and the movie games that release don't last much longer than an actual movie.

The XB1X plays everything better, has more features, had EA Access, Gamepass, UHD, Clubs, Groups, better online, exclusives that have more than 15 hrs of gameplay, etc... Tangible things like that actually make a product better.

Didn't you know there has been a screen grab "leaked" that compares the X & PRO versions, its not looking good for the PRO i'm afraid.

All cows have monster rig PCs therefore if you get a PS4 that means you have beefcake PC and can play Redemption 2 at max settings and therefore having PS4 means you get best way to play Redemption 2 when it eventually comes to PC.

While I have no desire to play RDR2 (I don’t like Westerns in any format), I can’t see how either ps4 version would be superior to an Xbox version. A large part of the game will be online and PSN is known to struggle in that area and the ps4 controller (your main input with a game) is vastly inferior to an Xbox controller.

The ps4 was made for those jrpgs and qte movies - not actual gaming.

I own one and for the few multiplats that look noticeably better( theres not much of a difference for most games) it's nice. I also enjoy the UHD bluray player. But to say it does everything better when it the PS4 has far more quality games makes you sound like a clown.

No thank you to playing this on my Pro. I own an X1X and will play it on that console. I like MP so it makes zero sense to play on PSN.
