Yay or Nay: Wolfenstein 2: New Colossus Collector's Edition

The Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Collector's Edition includes a 1/6 scale 12-inch action figure of the game's Nazi-killin' hero William Joseph "BJ" Blazkowicz, packaged in a premium, 1960s-style box. BJ comes fully equipped to rally the resistance and free America, with an arsenal of accessories including four high-powered guns, a hatchet, and his bomber jacket. The limited Collector's Edition also includes the highly anticipated game inside an exclusive metal case, and a 9"x14" Blitzmensch poster.

It's retailing for $99.99, but if you have Best Buy Gamer's Club membership, you get 20% off. I also check Amazon but I believe they stopped offering 20% off on collector's editions. It didn't work for me when I tried. As a fan of the series, I'm considering getting it with the discount. It seems like a cool collectible, although I think it's somewhat overpriced. By the way, this DOES include the game. What do you think, SW? Yay or Nay?

Its nice, i like the classic style box. But an extra 40 bucks seems a bit overpriced. Steelbooks dont really add anything nowadays either.

I like that they put some thought into it, but it's a pass for me.

I admit, I do love the thought put into it. That alternate-world ad is absolutely brilliant. But no, I'm done buying collectors editions, or any physical games for that matter, a long time ago.

Yay on the game, nay on the collectors edition. I never buy that stuff.

I've never been interested in collectors editions of any kind, more bullshit to take up space.

Nice, if you're into getting collectibles with your game. Is this just one special edition for this game, or is it like what Ubisoft does by releasing 136 different versions of the same game?

@SolidGame_basic: Not too big on game collectibles myself, but I can see the appeal of this one. At least its nit a cheap statue. You could do worse.

I'd say it's worth the price tag in terms of what you get. It's a pretty creative collector's edition, especially with the old school action figure. The material it's made of reminds me a bit of the Thunderbirds.

I'll probably just stick to the standard edition, but I can definitely see some people being into this.

The box is better than the model.

I mean it's this major throwback to when we used to own action figures.

But I dunno, I think there are way better collector's editions like this.

I don't do special editions, last game I bought as special edition was The Witcher 2 on PC and that was because the standard edition was the special edition (and still was 50 bucks).

Not into collectors stuff all I need is the actual game.
