[QUOTE="True_Gamer_"]strange how you forgot to mention the ps3 version in your title  it fails by default too anyway, rts games are meant to played on PChttp://uk.gamespot.com/news/6205571.html

Sadly, teh cell is let down by teh RAM. And the Xbox has more then proved it can handle RTS games, Since it has more, and more critically acclaimed RTS games, as opposed to the PS3.The PS3 could do a PC rts well (in terms of calculations, number crunching, etc.), but it is hindered because of the controller. If devs want a successful PC to console rts port or console rts, M/KB must be mandatory to play the game

Eh. Playing through Soviet Assault right now, and its still amazing. Personally I think WiC would have translated to consoles well as far as design goes... much better than lets say - Halo Wars or Command and Conquer. However technical limitations are always a barrier.skrat_01
I thought WIC is ok nothing great though.
If you ask me both controllers suck for RTS and FPS (aim assist FTL....being unable to hit an elephant at 2 yards)....Ever played an RTS with the PS controller? it's the only thing worse than playing FPS on a ps console.
But that's just my opinion, and system wars is my blog page.

I really enjoyed it. One of the best, compelling singleplayers a RTS game has to offer, and a great team based multiplayer mode (though now its possible to do smaller games with no allocated unit type control). If an RTS was going to be like an FPS, WiC would be it.[QUOTE="skrat_01"]Eh. Playing through Soviet Assault right now, and its still amazing. you are mistaken my friend.......Okay?
At least the developers knew that the game wouldn't live up to the standards of the PC version, and killed it instead of pumping it out to make some cheap cash.
+1 Respect.

I think it was canceled due to the technical limitations of the consoles. WiC is still a beefy game, but it's gameplay wasn't that deep for it to not work on consoles.mo0ksiit's an RTT, so I would think it would be very doable on a controller. Hell, I KNOW it could, because I've played it with a bloody 360 controller, along with Codename: Panzers, another RTT game.
I hate gamepads for every genre in general. FPS, RPG, RTS, and MMO's are by far the top ones that i hate to use a gamepad with though.
World in Conflict is an incredible game. Going to have to play through it again at some ponit. Still have yet to pick up the Soviet expansion.
