Xbox Showcase 2023 Meltdown Edition(Extended Showcase Today)

In less than one week Xbox would have their showcase. Regardless of the outcome, there is going to be meltdowns. If it flops, there would be a meltdown. If it is great, there would be a meltdown. So, meltdowns are guaranteed. Who is going to have the meltdown is up for grabs. What are you looking forward to or looking forward to be disappointed by?😎

Looking forward to it. At this point kinda expecting Starfield to heavily disappoint, though.

Really looking forward to this Showcase. Probably most looking forward to seeing Starfield. Hoping to see a bunch of other stuff like:

- Forza Motorsport 8

- Fable

- Avowed

- Perfect Dark

- Gears 6

Am also hoping to see some very cool surprises as well.

@Pedro: I'd like to see some release dates, maybe an update on STALKER II, Avowed, and Hellblade 2.

Also - there are already Unreal 5 games out... where the Hell is Gears 6?!?!!!

Just looking for updates to certain games, specifically Starfield and Perfect Dark. And whatever Obsidian is working on.

I don't really hype video games any more. There's no need, there's so many good ones already out, I don't need to raise mine up for ones that are not even released yet.

These shows are hit and miss too. They might have a good show but what Xbox needs now are release dates.

I just use Gamepass PC, so it really does not matter all that much to me, as I get plenty of value from just checking out whatever random weird thing they put on there. that is what I love about PC Gamepass, it gets me to try things I would never try otherwise!

Xbox is going to blow it out the water. It’s not like they have their work cut out from them after the ps showing.

Not hyped at all. not sold on Starfield yet. And Forza is just Forza. What would surprise me is if we saw Perfect Dark, Fable, you know, the games they teased like 3 years ago lol

I really hope that that Starfield has a good showing

They should have a pretty great showcase considering they have a backlog of games that were announced 3 / 4 years ago. It's time to show some gameplay and, announce release dates.

Here is my prediction that is guaranteed to be 90% accurate (MINIMUM).

The show will be great. They will show MS exclusives, and multiple gameplay clips will be revealed. But there's a catch! At least 70% of those exclusives won't be released for at least 2 additional year, and some will take over 5 additional years. In other words, you will see an entertaining show, but forget playing most everything shown for a long ass time🤭

Enjoy being hyped for the next Perfect Dark and Hellblade2. Games that are announced, and that's it, they're not supposed to be released, its just fodder to give you an illusion that MS library is packed.

Not going to gold my breath but would be nice to see some mention of WH40K: Darktide's release date on consoles.

@hardwenzen: yeah, you're predictions are amazing. I remember your last one about the ps show being the greatest ever made, and Jim cryan blowing his load, and something about Sony professionals.

The Xbox show is truly going to be one for the ages. They even release it live in theaters, that's how epic its going to be. Way better than sonys boring ass show.

I was fooled by Sony. It was the first and last time.

I am 100% accurate when it comes to MS.

Give me a FM8 release date, show some gameplay from Fable & Contraband and I will be content.

Maybe show something new/unannounced. Oh and try to keep it light on when it comes to third party games.

looking forward to the show.. i'm hoping to see updates on games we haven't seen anything from since they were announced (Avowed, State of Decay 3, Hellblade 2, etc)..

I'm hoping the Namco developed Killer Instinct rumor turns out to be true.

Oh yeah, also really want to see a lot on Hellblade 2. Rather enjoyed the first game.

Im hoping to see Fallout remakes/remasters.

Ive tried to replay New Vegas multiple times and the jankyness is hard to overlook now.

Also would like release dates for Fable, Avowed and some new IP announcements

You will get your dates for the likes of Avowed, and as soon as we approach it, it will be delayed. Dates are pointless with MS management.

Would be great to see all Gears games on Steam, something like The Master Chief Collection.

I have no real expectations for this show outside of showing Starfield and Starfield is mildly interesting. This show should focus on releases and not new announcements.

I hope Starfield turns out great. I want to see more of Stalker 2 also.

@Pedro: Umm Starfield is not going to be shown at this show right? I thought it was getting its own showcase a day after or something like that.

Starfield is the most important game for sure. If it looks cool the show will be ok no matter what.

Then ofc the presentation will be padded with games that won’t release for five years or whatever. Less interested in that part.

If Starfield sucks I’m melting myself out of Gamepass 🫠.

Usually they do both, no? Maybe a trailer (cgi?) at the main show and the deep dive at the showcase (guessing with Todd Howard)?

It is my understanding Starfield would have its own show immediately after.

@Pedro: Immediately after, oh ok, I just knew they were having a seperate one for Starfield, wasn't sure exactly when as I haven't followed it.

@Sushiglutton: Apparently pedro said the Starfield showcase would start after the Xbox one. So they must be showing everything on the one day and then leaving.

It's impossible to know what to expect since these companies can be incredibly out of touch. They might show us 17 new logos and a handful of CGI trailers and think they have a banger show.

Personally I just want to see gameplay for their already announced titles. And I want it to be as raw as possible, no bs vertical slices.

Hellblade, Forza, Fable, Avowed, Indiana Jones, Contraband etc. I don't want to see any new announcements, just them to start delivering on what was already promised.

I would be surprised but I would love for Rare to show Everwild. I want it to be a shameless attempt at making their BotW with modern hardware. And by the end I wanna go "holly shit they might have done it!"

Ms need a really good showcase this year has been a huge disappointment from a first party point of view. I don't know where my expectations are after watching the ps showcase.
