Yup, this was a misquote. We're running sub 60 FPS at 4K and we'll probably always be unless we drop livetrack and a host of other things... We'll probably upscale from something very reasonable

We don't like the term 'locked'. It would put us in first party territory where chest beating is more important than a great experience. We'll be 60 most of the time in normal racing and we'll push the consoles to and beyond their limits for more interesting racing. Even if that means dropping a few frames.

Project Cars smashed into AMD GPU's weaknesses e.g. draw calls bottleneck, Pixel Engine to memory controller bottleneck, 4GB memory storage bottleneck and 'etc'.

Cool, I doubt Ill have time to play it much considering Forza is there, bought the first game on sale and haven't played it yet. Would like to though it one afternoon at least play it see what it brings to the table, I've read its a solid series .

Hopefully it supports HDR, I love that in FH3 it makes all the colors pop out more and little details are more visible. Glad at least FM7 supports HDR too

Here we go the usual sceptical questions for direct comparisons at gtx 1070 level. Do we know at what settings will it be running on? Will it hold 60fps or be like project cars 1 40-60fps on current console.

Awfully quite in this thread considering Cows were talking up PCars just last week and saying how it destroys Forza and that getting it to 4k/60fps was not possible on One X.

Man the back half of this gen is going to be absolutely delicious.

The claim was most of the games are fake 4k. That "claim" is still true.

Also, it does objectively have the weakest library. By a lot.

It has games stuck at 30 fps. It is not amazing compared to PC.

My arguments wasn't close to 100 percent 4K since GTX 1070 class GPU is less 4K capable than GTX 1080/Titan XP 1.0/ GTX 1080 Ti/Titan XP 2.0 and incoming RX-Vega 56/RX Vega 64.

A cheer squad is to cheer PC gaming without actually owning GTX 1080/Titan XP 1.0/ GTX 1080 Ti/Titan XP 2.0 and I own GTX 1080 Ti.

2. Most XB1X games can not do true 4K. A high end PC will be able to do this.

2. As stated by Phil Spencer, X1X wasn't designed to compete against high end PCs and MS store sells both overclocked GTX 1080 GPU cards and PC OEM partner's gaming PCs with GTX 1070/1080 GPUs. X1X vs Windows 10 gaming PC is like comparing PS Vita to PS4.

Both Windows 10 gaming PC and X1X are DirectX boxes just as PS Vita and PS4 are PlayStation platforms.

@zaryia: actually most high end PC right now can't run games at 4K with ideal optimization. You'll always have a high amount of frame dropping. And so far 60 games have been announced that have confirmed 4K native resolution for Xbox One X.

Or dynamic 4k (which lemmings say that doesn't count as native even if 99% of the game runs native, let's see how they flip this one too) or native 4k that looks as good as dynamic/checkerboard... Project cars ran at 900p and 1080p on the Xbox One and PS4 respectively. While trying to maintain 60fps at those resolutions, the game would tear frames and drop to the mid 40's when weather effects were mixed in. The devs obviously have a preference for graphic quality and resolution over performance. So I don't expect this game to stick to that target on any console. Even with checkerboarding.

So even after not attempting 4K, they won't even promise it will be 60fps on consoles either. And I was also right about them caring about the visuals more than performance that they're willing to have it dip than look less appealing.

They're not Turn 10 who make every cut they possibly can to get the game to run at target performance.

Hey here's a thought! Ron put up a chart of Project Cars on a GTX 1070. It seems to average above 60fps just fine, at ultra no doubt. But if an Xbox One X is equivalent to a GTX 1070 with 16GB or ram, why is this game not able to run at 4K or with a 60FPS guarantee at all on Xbox One X?

Yep, news that confirm that the differences between the Pro and X1X are not that big like many smart people who don't buy into Microsoft's hype have claimed time and time again. On both console non-4k and non 60fps. I would be pissed if I had to pay $100 more for a glorified PS4 Pro with no real advantage. Lol. X1X beast... lmfao

Remember every claim made of the X1X by Microsoft or xbox fanboys comes with an * and small print claiming that: "This could be true, partially not true or complete BS. Most likely the latter.". They now have used the disclaimer for their exclusives* shown at E3 as well as for their claims of True 4k* and so you should stick it to the GTX 1070* too.

Great news. I will still probably stick with Forza Horizon 3 and wait for the 4k patch but awesome to see all these 4k games even before the console launches.
