If the Xbox One uses DX11.2 then games might look significantly better on PC.
YAY. :)
Last Gen, many people went around saying that the consoles held the PC’s back with their specs. This was obviously true.
The Old gen consoles had barely 1gb ram.
But this gen, they have 8gb ram.
Better GPU by far.
Meaning PC is gonna get an extra boost in terms of visuals.
Battlefield 4 on PC (and allegedly Xbox One, though that's a flaky rumor) makes use of many of these DX 11.2 features. With them being the standard on the Xbox One, I expect a huge rise of these features on PC versions of games as those features easily translate to a console when porting. We won't wait half a decade to see these features. They're being used in development-stage games as we speak. Although I still believe Direct X is better than OpenGL, some say otherwise.
Direct X 11.2 introduced Tiled Resources, OpenGL is a joke or more of a pain in the ass from what I’ve read.
I guess people already take this for granted -_-.
Anyway.
I would like to see Xbox One use DX11.2.
This is good news for PC owners if it is true.
:)
