More troubling news for the Windows Mobile platform and the initiative to use XBox as a penetration vehicle. Moreso, it seems that their developer relations and publishing directives for games is coming back to haunt them.

Sauce.

Maybe MS doesn't want developers to own their IP's now which is why the games are being de-listed.

It's one thing to lose future products behind closed doors, but it would seem that the model deteriorated to the point of affecting current projects. No good.

I'm full of care. The XBox brand floundering in the booming mobile space? Yes. It's important. Especially when you consider the fact that MS bought Nokia to compete in this space.

Yes, it does matter. It might not matter to a lot of people who have chosen competing products, but that's the crux of the matter. Pain in the game.

I like MS. I use Windows at work all the time as well as for gaming. This is XBox related. If you're going to typecast me, get it right.

I have an HTC windows phone 8 and I don't care at all. Got the phone cheap, it works great, great camera, great audio for music. I have tried but just don't get into gaming on my phones.

Great, that's totally a good way to inspire confidence in the userbase that you intend to support the platform.

I'm giving Telus until the end of August to release Windows Phone 8.1. If they don't, I'm selling my Lumia 1020 and upgrading to a Note 3 (yes, I know the Note 4 is coming next year, but I can't wait that long for a functional phone). Unless I can find a cheap, used S3/4 to wait with.

That's unfortunate, although I own a Windows Phone and I think it's great, I just could never game on it too much.....smart phone screens are just too small for that. I guess this also includes the Xbox games for their surface tablets, and I'm surprised they de-listed a game like Harvest, it was the only one I got for my tablet and it was a good game(like a sci-fi kind of Diablo).

In a way I'm happy they were not too successful in the mobile space, I want them to concentrate their efforts on the Xbox One.

another fucking clueless Moogenja bait and bullshit thread

Recently delisted Xbox Windows Phone and Windows 8/RT games

  • Carcassonne from Exozet (Windows Phone 7 and 8)
  • Crash Course Go from Wanako/Behavior Interactive (Windows 8, Xbox 360)
  • Disney The Little Mermaid: Undersea Treasures! From Disney (Windows 8)
  • Gunpowder (Windows 8) from Rogue Rocket
  • The Gunstringer: Dead Man Running from Other Ocean (Windows 8)
  • The Harvest from Luma Arcade (Windows 8 and Steam versions. The Windows Phone version remains at least temporarily, but is restricted to Windows Phone 7 devices.)
  • Rocket Riot from Codeglue (Windows Phone and Windows 8)
  • Royal Envoy 2 from Playrix (Windows 8)
  • Team Crossword from ? (Windows 8)
  • Zombies!!! from Babaroga (Windows 8. Windows Phone version delisted and republished without Xbox features last year.)

So some shit games that nobody cares about are removed from WP7 WP8 and Windows 8 whoopdee fucking doooo

I have a windows phone 8, it is a great phone with a good camera and is very easy to use, those are the reasons i own it.

I play a couple of random games on it like Star Wars Assault team and Tiny death star, I play on my phone about once a month.

My Brother!!!

Yeah, Windows Phone 8 is a great OS. Very under-appreciated but it has been getting a lot of official apps lately. Not to mentioned it finally surpassed the Amazon Kindle Fire Appstore.

Is this is the part of the thread where I'm told to leave BritneyBox alone by a bunch of people who love to flood System Wars with completely non-game related news about other companies they don't like? Because that would be great!

As a Windows Phone user, all I can ask is "am I supposed to care?". I bought a Windows Phone because it was a cheap phone that gets the things I want done. If I wanted to play games or use a lot of apps in general, I would've gone for an Android. I don't think many people who want to play games on their phones are buying anything with Windows Phone on it, so this probably isn't going to affect many people.

That said, Microsoft should be trying to change that factor, instead of solidifying it further with this kind of thing.

Nobody that owns a windows phone will care, you don't buy a windows phone for gaming, if you want a phone for gaming you buy an android phone.

If you buy a windows phone for gaming you are doing it wrong, lol

@magicalclick: If you are talking about the developer preview, I tried that already. It went through the update process and nothing happened. I followed all the instructions and it took almost 20 minutes to install (to me that suggests a huge update).

It was really weird. And either way, I'm almost set on switching back to Android now. Even with all the upgrades, it won't have the Google Play store.
